If they turn Vampires 2 into an Antifa / BLM simulator I hope I as the player can join the fascists to go full nuclear on the city. Bloodlines had at least that option at the end. I guess I scratch this game from my Steam wishlist
Wasn't the division of clans already set in the first Bloodlines? The Anarchs were mostly Brujah while the Gangrel also more tended to be Anarchs (or Sabbat) The Tremer and Ventrue were mostly Camarilla while the Toreador, Malkavians and Nosferatu were more "neutral" (at least that was my impression). But you could still play a Tremere and join the Anarchs despite Damsel's continued nagging. You know it would be funny plot twist to have the Chinese vampire meddle in the Seattle conflict. Another nod to our modern times. Perhaps too true huh?
I got ninja'ed but I'll continue.Wasn't the division of clans already set in the first Bloodlines? For the Giovanni, it's more like the Camarilla can't afford to really fuck with them, since they tend to be the deal makers and breakers for both sides of the Jyhad, alongside the scheming Setites. They tend to be a little more trustworthy than the snakes, so they are valued more. Pissing them or choosing to fight them closes a vital link and has a chance get another clan to support the Sabbat, who already cause enough trouble as it is.The tabletop basically assumed that players were Camarilla, since they were the gothy lords of the night playing Machiavellian political games amongst themselves. The Sabbat were generally too retarded "blood for the blood god" types, and the independent groups too small to bear much consideration, though an independent clan person could probably fit in okay with a Camarilla group. People like the Ravnos and Giovanni weren't kill on sight to the Camarilla, by and large, so as long as they didn't go and shit on the masquerade they'd probably be tolerated.
"Chris chan would tell everybody who the Prince of c-ville was , in the first video post embrace. on the bright side whoever was stupid enough to embrace her is also greeting the sun."
-Mrs Julians thoughts on the subject.
Most of the Cows would never be accepted into any of the sects Sabbat is too lethal, Anarchs expect autonomy , the Carmilla expects restraint and all expect discretion, Malkavians may be insane but they're expected to be functional by the standards of a society of predators. Pretty much anyone featured on the farms while feature quite the thread twist once we realize they're not humans. to my mind their are roughly four Cows whom spring to mind.
Zoe Quinn-Toreador Carmarilla. Quinn is highly manipulative, and has a genuine talent with social networking. Vampires suffer for a creative sterility so her lack of actual talent would go unoticed once she browbeats her ghouls into wrapping up that shitty game she's been working on she can easily rest on her laurels and cultivate indie talent.
Bob Chipman-Brujah carmarilla. Bobs a firebrand for a corrupt status quo. He's pretty much noctural by nature, angry by disposition and amoral by temperment. He already views humans as 'sub-human' it would require very little to persuade him all the bloodbags have no part of his superior future.
Sargon of Akad-Lasombra Sabbat raging egotist pretending to be a dissident voice as opposed to an established new media figure wracking in the dough and sycophants. Sargon has a knack for luring in the weak and dumb to do as he says and give him money. He's completly duplicitous, able to deal with pressure well and something of a demagoue. He'd fit in well with the Keepers in the Sword of caine when he could get rid of the politically correct idea that anyone outside of the other lasombra are equals.
Phil vincent-Tzimisce Sabbat. The Fiends view humans by traits they can cultivate and phil has many vitrues the fiends could build on
-politically militant
- shockingly selfish
-obsessed with body modification
-no interest in appropriate social mores.
-shifting perceptions of self
With proper instruction Phil could potentially transcend to become something truly terrible.
Also Null would make a pretty good nossie considering his talent for digging dirt and devil may care attitude.
Emperor Julian said:I've always wondered with Voerman Sisters which one is the prime personality and which is the product of mental illness? Personally I suspect neither as the origional mind was permantly shattered by the embrace.
Considering the sisters talk about their father sleeping in one of their beds after paying them a visit when they blew his brains out with his hunting shotgun he was straight up raping them, not molesting. This was a full-blown trauma-induced split personality, not BPD (which is something else entirely), and Malkavians are notorious for going after people with mental illness for the Embrace. Its theresa, she flat out says at one point during their fight 'I brought you into this' (meaning she was the one who took to the whole vampire thing)
and it was strongly implied that voerman was mentally ill to some degree before becoming a vampire and that it likely had something to do with her father. I always suspected there was some molesting going on or something to that effect and she went full BPD splitting. Note the family portrait in the first game. There was implied 'splitting' going on even when she was still human. Becoming a malk just made her more mental.
This is funny because those pretentious players/LARPers who are the flies atop the current WOD shitheap are also the most milquetoast lames imaginable. It shows in their writing and in their gaming (see L.A. by Night/Vein Pursuit). Their idea of 'edgy' is a mopey Nosferatu Potter-fag with a dash of Dexter Morgan, playing as a Camarilla-lite Anarch. The pretentious players might have grown up and become the writers. Those that presented themselves as WoD(specifically Vampire) super-fans were pretentious morons. Normal people just played the game for fun.
the technical aspects of the game are the least important. its being written by sjw and degenerates who could make fucking pog badView attachment 1536233
This was posted on RPG Codex, and is supposed to be from the official discord group for this game. The claim that Hardsuit ran out of money strikes me as likely, but I haven't looked into when Paradox bought the 30% ownership of Hardsuit. The timing would either disprove this theory or give it some validation.
They actually hired outstar? Good for her I guess.View attachment 1533829
PR from Outstar, a PR person at Paradox/Vampire. Credit goes to RPG Codex. I recommend their thread (not that I expect anyone needs the recommendation), it is pretty similar in tone and style to ours.
