Removing Content

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.

This is information for private individuals. If you are law enforcement, please Contact Us.

Unlawful Content

We remove content which is unlawful in the United States. Examples:

  • By Court Order. Law enforcement in possession of a court order should Contact Us. If content has caused an emergency where a court order would be obviously granted, Contact Us.
  • Threats and Harassment. Posting or encouraging threats, unwanted contact, or emergency responder hoaxes ("Swatting") is strictly forbidden.
  • Child Sex Abuse Material (CSAM). Use the built-in report feature or Contact Us link to report any post you believe may exploit minors and it will be dealt with immediately.
  • Animal Crush. Our community has assisted in identifying multiple animal abusers. However, content considered "animal crush" may not be posted here. Users intending to discuss animal abusers should be careful to not spread animal abuse content.
  • Copyrighted Material. We are not a piracy site. Copyrighted content is to be used fairly in context. Copyright holders wishing to file a complaint should consider fair use, because we do before making decisions.

Please be mindful that this list is not comprehensive nor a list of things we have had to remove in the past. This list is for sake of clarity: we will remove any federally illegal content.

Lawful Content

In general: We require a court order. This forum has been around for over a decade. We have been threatened by powerful people, triumphed in civil court multiple times, and resisted foreign governments attempting to censor online discussion.

Civil Injury

If your rights have been injured, you should seek relief in a U.S. Civil Court by bringing a lawsuit against the authors of the defamatory posts. A court order to remove defamatory content will be honored. However, I will not surrender user information without a subpoena.

Nonconsensual Pornography

If nude images of you have been posted on the forum without context, you may Contact Us. For public figures who have discussion threads and are the victim of revenge pornography, you should contact law enforcement and obtain a court order. Many jurisdictions have laws to help you.

Commercial pornography is treated as a commercial product.

Courtesy Removals

In a rare situation, a courtesy removal may be given at our discretion.

  • The thread is/was about a minor,
  • The subject's Internet presence is now limited to our website,
  • And they are no longer a public figure.

If you meet this criteria and your thread has been inactive for at least a year, Contact Us.

Copyright, the DMCA, and Fair Use

See the Contact Us page for how to file a DMCA complaint.

Before doing so, consider the following:

  1. The community enjoys a high level of transparency. As such, your DMCA notice will be posted as it was received.
  2. Fake DMCAs are quietly dealt with. Signing a DMCA for someone you are not authorized to represent is a crime. We authenticate complaints.
  3. Incomplete or invalid DMCAs are not honored. For instance, a primary requirement is a legal return address (not a PO Box) that we may file a counter-notice to.

Litigation History

  • Scott v. Lolcow LLC (2017) was our first lawsuit. Melinda Leigh Scott attempts to sue my company after her stalker used the Kiwi Farms to talk about her in a thread that was about only himself. The case is dismissed without trial.
  • Scott v. Wise County Commonwealths (2017) was a follow-up by Melinda. Unsatisfied with the court's prior judgement, she then sued the county alongside my company in an attempt to force them to arraign me with criminal charges. The district court throws out the complaint in the same day the clerk receives it. Who says Government isn't efficient?
  • Scott v. Moon (2017) was Melinda's third attempt. This time, she sues me as a person. I didn't respond to the lawsuit and it was thrown out at the first hearing.
  • Scott v. Carlson, et al (2018) was the fourth lawsuit from Melinda, this time thrown out within days for being totally baseless and legally insufficient.
  • Scott v. Moon, et al (2019) was her 5th failed filing.
  • Greer v. Moon, et al. (2020) was a copyright infringement and defamation claim against the Kiwi Farms.
  • Tomlinson v. 60 John Does (2021) was an attempt to collect user data from the Kiwi Farms by a well-known SciFi author. Tomlinson was met in court.
    • In January 2022, he voluntarily dismissed his lawsuit after spending over $100,000.
    • He was ordered to pay $23,739.25 in damages to co-defendants.
    • After delaying payment, he eventually paid $32,709.80 with accrued interest in August 2023.
    • He still owes at least $18,304.42 in damages to other defendants.
  • Scott v. Wise County Department of Social Services, et al. (2021) was the 6th attempt from Melinda. She alleged that a phone call to child services was a malicious act by a forum user and I was personally liable for it.
    • We retained counsel and it was dismissed with prejudice in August.
    • She attempted to appeal the judgement and lost. Injunctions against her were sought.
    • Melinda Scott is now unable to file against the Kiwi Farms without filing for pre-approval from the court.
    • She was ordered to pay awarded damages, which were received and cashed on September 23rd, 2023.
