Don't get me wrong, i think this is a bad omen at best but unless they actually removed his contributions to the narrative then for us nothing changes.

Edit: After reading his statement this seems much worse than what i initially thought, they're probably removing his stuff.

Whitewolf always had that "Its basically sex" thing with their biting. You could see it in the original game with things like buying a prostitute, bringing them into a dark private alley, then drinking their blood. Its not necessarily sexual assault since they have that whole "seduce the mortals into wanting to get bitten" thing going on, but its always been sexually charged.

Sometimes its not so subtle.

Mitsoda's involvement was the single thing left that made me think that maybe, just maybe this might not be complete shit, even with some of his depressingly stupid statements. I hope this flops hard and Hardsuit Studios is closed.

It can be preordered at GOG, so there is a drm-free version.
Now, let's see if I can cancel the preorder for this thing...

The other (and now only) writer is Cara Ellison.

Picture sums up what you expect her CV to include - articles on Vice, RPS, PCGamer etc. Actual narrative director experience includes Sacrilege. a text based game about "female sexuality" and an external narrative director on Dishonored 2. His content is going to be butchered, cut up and replace. This is going the way of Neil Druckmann, with them replacing the lead/experienced writer with some hack garbage pile of trash.

They delayed it to next year to "improve the game", only to sack the lead narrative director. They are going to butcher and memory hole his story into oblivion. That's the only reason I see for a) delaying the game till next year and b) sacking him in such a way that he's confused why he's being let go. Short of this getting fucking brilliant youtuber reviews, I'm not touching it.
 
I was so excited for this and now..its a no they wont add anything this guy worked on as a final nail. Remember when art was subjective and not a ploy to drive agendas in video games? How sad I was hoping to sink my teeth into it all over again in a new form. :heart-empty:
 
The vague 2021 delay and the fact that the new guy coming on is from Ubisoft makes me think Paradox wasn't happy with how the game was turning out and are hoping to restructure it into a safer, more marketable Assassin's Creed / Far Cry type "RPG". I wouldn't be surprised to see crafting suddenly jammed into the game so that they can sell 'time savers' resource packs.
 
It's telling this happens so often I don't even get phased by it anymore.

Damsel is still furthest thing from Right Wing in this entire franchise. In fact when I first read the Anarch book for V5, I thought this was parody. It wasn't.

On the bright side. They didn't go with the design they gave her in V5 (thank fucking God) and kept her more in line with her bloodlines design.
