I have swansong. Haven't gotten far due to work but I'm enjoying it. Very weird ass jank character models and a convoluted persuasion system but it's interesting. Cleaning up a hunter crime scene while manageing bloodlust was fun.

At this point a dev studio putting their top men on something probably means putting incompetent 'men' who have had top surgery on it until the project tanks and everyone forgets about it
 
We have actual activity. This is not a drill.

Paradox has put up a small Update Article on their website regarding Bloodlines 2. There's only two things of any real note, links just there if anyone wants to read it.

Thing 1 - They plan to actually show us what they've been working on since shitcanning the studio originally working on this (still funny) in September.
Thing 2 - They're finally offering full refunds on the old preorders.

They also put up some "Post Alpha" Screenshots, but they're less important.

That's probably the biggest thing that bugs me about all of this situation and that's all the fucking dickriding marks who see this as "oh Paradox is a megacorp with GORILLIONS of dollars and uh uh....look at cyberpunk how long did it take to release that? it's the same thing with Vampire IT COULD TAKE A DECADE! so what difference does it make if they go silent FOR A YEAR?"
Counter to that: 1. CDPR did fuckall except Cyberpunk it was the only thing they were working on and 2. Paradox knows jackshit about making an action RPG in the vein of oh I suppose Dishonored or Deus Ex, their wheelhouse is rts and city builders.

I'm honestly at the complete opposite end, where I want to see this game come out, solely because I fully expect it to be a dumpster fire and want to see just how badly they fucked it up.

If the games somehow not shit - or somehow manages to just be Mid - , that'll honestly be more disappointing at this point.

You're probably going to get your wish. The amount of time and money Paradox dumped into this game means that no matter what happens it's going to be release at some point. And yes I agree I would rather see a funny but terrible VTMB2 then just a mid one.

Part of me wants them to reveal that they've retooled the game into a hero shooter, just to see how horrifying it could be/the reactions.

There would be a lot of people upset by that and the salt would be funny to laugh at as well. You know I'm thinking you're right this might be the best possible outcome. We could turn this thread into mocking people upset at the game.
 
Yeah Bloodhunt and they did the bonehead thing of saying they won't be updating it and support will stop by I believe the end of the year or early next year cause hey why take something that's marginally successful and let it keep on being that.
