My review of episode 8:
The intro felt like theory bait, since the show made me lose all my trust after episode 7. Having a glimpse into what the circus was like at the beginning was nice; it didn't feel like lore dumping for the sake of lore dumping. The therapy session afterwards sucked as always; it felt forced. Caine becoming a mad tyrant was great; it was a change in the status quo the show desperately needed. Pomni putting a bucket on Kinger's head is something that also should've been done a long time ago. The fact that they couldn't make a computer appear using their imagination is an obvious plothole, or at least it felt like one. Caine getting deleted was a nice surprise at the end.
Overall: The beginning was bad, but everything after was really good. Something finally happened.
Personally, I think this episode really highlights how bad the pacing is: we got one thrembillion filler episodes and a rug pull before something actually happened, and we only got one episode left. I'm okay with, like, the first 3 or 4 episodes establishing what being in the circus is like, but stuff like Caine going rogue should've happened a few episodes ago and not in the second to last episode.
The Hungarian dub is still my go-to version. They even translated the musical number. I'm still surprised the higher-ups at Glitch thought, "Yeah, we need to get our cartoons translated to a language spoken by only 14 million people." This also makes Hungarian the least spoken language you can watch a Glitch cartoon in. What makes this weirder, in my opinion, is that there's no Romanian dub despite there being 22 million Romanian speakers and there being a Dutch dub despite how Dutch people are usually proficient in English even at younger ages.
