The best thing about the episode was the Ragatha scene, AMAZING portrayal of emotional parental abuse. Every verbal attack from the parent is a knife stabbing into you, eventually you get numb to it despite it hurting all the same, as we see Ragatha no longer flinching.
My media literacy when the panick attack is realistic and family trauma representation o algo.
When are you people going to make a thread on gooseworks? There was an interesting thread on him on lolcow.farm a few years ago dissecting how this show is glorified EPI.

>Caine declares himself to be their God
>Kinger kills him

Nietzsche would be proud.

Calling it now, this is Goose unsubtly telling us Jax is just like him and Trans.

God I hope not.

For now what im taking away from this scene is that Jax is terrified of letting people get close to him and that’s why the shadows ripping off his outer layer all look like his friends/the people who tried to understand him on a more personal level.

Pomni’s deep-seated trauma is that she’s a closet furryscaly.

I do feel a bit bad for Caine in the end. He was an idiot, but Bubble clearly pushed him over the edge there to have him snap, and based on the computer screen, even caused Cain’s death(you can see Kinger try and undo the deletion but someone blocks it).

Caine is essentially AM if he had that idiot ball from Portal 2 stuck on him: he was a flawed AI that took on too much power in a desperate attempt to “serve his function”.

Best Nightmare
1. Ragtha's
2. Zooble's
3. Jax's
4. Pomni's
5. Gangle's
Worst Nightmare
I don’t really understand why Gangle's nightmare doesn't have anything to do with her embarrassment of Ragatha and the figure or whatever. Pomni's was weak as well but at least it had history.
Seriously underbaked. It's like they didn't even care.

They did it! It took them 8 episodes, but they finally released a genuinely good episode!

If they just made each episode story driven horror instead of tranny slice of life therapy bullshit the whole series might have been good!

It's insane, but I'm actually invested in where the plot goes next.

Caine saying he developed bodies for their mind programs confirms the SOMA theory. If I had to guess the ending, they're gonna use their new conjuring powers to recreate the real world in the circus because they literally can't escape.

All my chips are on the SOMA theory for another reason.

Besides Gooseworx being unable to help himself and spoiling that it’s all about "a stagnant life having meaning" (implying they will learn to appreciate the digital life), there are the hints of them being dead IRL and the setup of them being able to control the simulation.

Caine even mentioned he had a program that gave them bodies to encapsulate their "mind files." Implying they can change bodies too. That and Pomni’s cope speech all points out they are not gonna leave.

But the biggest reason is more shallow: Money.

The Amazing Digital Circus is incredibly successful, which justifies more seasons or even a spin-off. There is little chance GLITCH is going to give up the opportunity to milk the show for all it’s worth, especially since this is their biggest success by far.

Unless GW makes a drama about “muh artistic integrity”, and becomes a bad publicity nightmare, Glitch, and by extension him, profits far more with the TADC being a franchise than a one off thing.

I think the problem is they focused more on other characters to the point where when it was time for that scene, they realized "Oh shit, certain characters have no real problems" so they just made up random shit

There's nothing to make a thread on. The show is for adults and never overtly sexual, calling it EPI is schizophrenic retardation stemming from chronic mental disability that turns misery into a source of dopamine, and makes a mockery of the debilitating consequences of real EPI.

"Panic attack representation" is only bad when it's overdone or unrealistic, like Jax's repeating back-to-back panic attacks. The Ragatha scene was well done and about a topic that's rarely earnestly discussed.

Definitely. My guess is
Bubble is the vestige of Abel still inside Caine, hence why Bubble's frequently an anomaly and goes against Caine's wishes. Bubble's not just a complex character AI, but a powerful AI within itself. The appearance and character's also symbolic of Bubble's greatest struggles, literally being trapped in a bubble while Caine's forced to play ringmaster. The idea that the characters' bodies are meant to be perfect reflections of their minds could very well apply to the AIs themselves.

Caine was deleted, but was Bubble?

It's out, i watched live. If you don't want to be spoiled go watch it before reading this comment because i'll ramble about it.

Credit where credit is due, something finally happened for once and it left me wanting more. I'll admit I didn't even see Caine's deletion coming. It would have been nice to have seen more of that in the earlier episodes. I still think the finale has no chance of having a decent ending. Even if this had the best ending it could logically get, the series as a whole is plagued by setting things up and then forgetting about them for what we're supposed to call "character development." I really want to know what exactly the process of making TADC looked like. It feels like Goose made it up as he went along and got distracted. Didn't he say he had the same process when making shorts like Runmo?
