I'm going to push back on this as I am familiar with the characters from the comics. While a 27-minute therapy scene is insane if that's accurate, everything behind Sentry, as well as the Thunderbolts. The Sentry is a bum and an addict that fell ass backwards into superpowers and his greatest enemy is a physical manifestation of this shitty part of himself. Meanwhile all the main characters of the movie were essentially tools of the government, like the superhero version of CIA agents building Banana Republics. At somepoint anyone is going to go through a moral / ethical dark night of the soul.https://youtube.com/watch?v=uMJVoq70ejgI am hearing Thunderbolts has a lengthy therapy scene. Why is psychology worshiped like religion?
This movie is so unhinged in making The Thing have the backstory of his catchphrase come from Ben's brother beating him up while saying "It's Clobbering Time"
I don't disagree with you, but if you can't show character development without almost literally siting the characters down and talking about it, you shouldn't be doing comics or movies based in comics. Show no tell is even more important in a medium that's 90% visual.I'm going to push back on this as I am familiar with the characters from the comics. There's an actual justification for character development, which is something that's been missing from the MCU. People acknowledging that the world that spurned them is pretty fucked, (it is, some 9x butt chinned Grimace murdered 50% of humanity) is a reasonable outlook isn't crazy.
This sounds so retardedly off the wall insane that I love it. Comics really need more random dinosaur momentsIs that the one where the Fantastic Four swapped places with their counterparts from a dimension where everybody is dinosaurs and they thought someone had turned the Avengers into dinosaurs, meanwhile back in their universe, the Avengers thought that someone had turned the Fantastic Four into dinosaurs? And both universes had a great big fight?

There is an upcoming X-men Vs Godzilla comic for June, I think. This sounds so retardedly off the wall insane that I love it. Comics really need more random dinosaur moments
I hope Godzilla wins. Conclusively. That would genuinely be an entertaining comic. There is an upcoming X-men Vs Godzilla comic for June, I think.
The most I know about him is what I read in World War Hulk, so this is entirely new information. The Sentry is a bum and an addict that fell ass backwards into superpowers and his greatest enemy is a physical manifestation of this shitty part of himself.
So it's already handling the fallout of the Snap better than Far From Home. There's an actual justification for character development, which is something that's been missing from the MCU. My best guess was that they wanted Ben to reclaim the phrase, but it's still really fucked up with how they executed it.This movie is so unhinged in making The Thing have the backstory of his catchphrase come from Ben's brother beating him up while saying "It's Clobbering Time"
They say that every time. They said it as far back as No Way Home.Anyway reviews are coming out for Thunderbolts* and a common talking point is how its the "Best Marvel movie since Endgame",
I think my favorite take on that scene is the HISHE parody where Captain Marvel just wiped out the horde of bad guys in a single blast and flew off.that random pandering moment where all the girls team up
It reminds me of how Kamen Rider Zero-One had the characters talk with an Alexa-esque "therapist" to work through their issues. In hindsight, it was an obvious way to speedrun their arcs after Covid fucked up production.I don't disagree with you, but if you can't show character development without almost literally siting the characters down and talking about it, you shouldn't be doing comics or movies based in comics. Would Godzilla be considered a mutant, or he more like a Hulk? There is an upcoming X-men Vs Godzilla comic for June, I think.
Not that it makes it any better but didn't that come from the Ultimate comics? The same universe that created Reed Richards The MakerThis movie is so unhinged in making The Thing have the backstory of his catchphrase come from Ben's brother beating him up while saying "It's Clobbering Time"
Godzilla and Marvel are having a crossover event altogether, not just with X-Men. Basically everyone is going at him. F4, Avengers, X-Men, Hulk, Spidey, Thor. Everyone is getting their dino fix alright. I knew this was coming the day Marvel's Godzilla omnibus was announced. Still epic though. There is an upcoming X-men Vs Godzilla comic for June, I think.
Sure but you have to think about the culture. There's an actual justification for character development, which is something that's been missing from the MCU. Do you think this could lead to a renaissance of DC movies or kickstart a new cinematic universe the same way Iron Man did back in 2008?I really think that Superman trailer is so popular because it legit makes people smile in a world full of miserable shit.
it won't be the same without JJJ using his super power of yelling to slow down Godzilla while the other heroes get their shit togetherGodzilla and Marvel are having a crossover event altogether, not just with X-Men. I think they will pay a homage to it in the Spider-Man one shot.it won't be the same without JJJ using his super power of yelling to slow down Godzilla while the other heroes get their shit together
Not like that.Do you think this could lead to a renaissance of DC movies or kickstart a new cinematic universe the same way Iron Man did back in 2008?
