A Game with sailing but actual like exploration and some fun sim features (other than Windwaker), Windwaker kinda scratches the itch but the sailing itself is pretty basic but it's the closest.

Sea of Thieves has really fun sailing but there's nothing to do and no point in doing anything

I haven't played Assassin's Creed Black Flag but maybe it'd scratch my itch.

These are the only three sailing games I can think of?

Ideally you'd play as some sort of merchant who can forge his own career, doing stuff like starting a fish shop, farms, or even just becoming a full out pirate and robbing and looting treasure. Of course the big thing is I want all the different facets of the game to have actual depth. Full scale fishing system with some actual biology and realism to what fish you can find in what places, some semi-realistic farming mechanics. Sailing is fun and requires you to pay attention to a bunch of different aspects. Oh, and actual ship customization! Start me off with a shit tier dinghy and let me turn it into a supership!

Honestly just Sea of Thieves but not garbage lol. This game may well exist and I'm just stupid, if it does lemme know!

Or they could make Windwaker but One Piece but One Piece is banned from having good games. What a shame!

I've always wanted a Metal Gear Solid game that takes place between 1 and 2 that's just about Otacon and Snake going around the world and sabotaging everyone's Metal Gear projects.

Right now there's a large Rand McNally atlas sitting on my desk right now (the ones that they sell at Wal-Mart and has big maps of every state). A game that actually requires a road atlas (or just alt-tabbing to Google Maps if you're cheap) as integration and enjoyment of the game could be amazing if done right, but not in annoying way (like some sort of de facto copy protection, from Carmen Sandiego to Grand Theft Auto).

a singleplayer and co-op First-Person open world RPG with with some Soulslike mechanics (instead of a roll you get a dash as its in first-person) and a quest system similar to Daggerfall with an Art-style similar to recent Fire Emblem Games

In a better timeline where games still gave you shit when you bought them it could've came with an atlas to use!

I guess nowadays they could give you a pdf when you download the game lol

Sounds so cool!

The two main problems I see are that it would be seen as cheap as to not have any in-game help that can substitute, and the second is that it might be considered too complex for brainlets.

I wish we'd gotten another Sonic Mania after. Sonic Frontiers is just a waste of space, and I've always disliked the consistent need to shit a 3D game out from Sega. Streets of Rage 4 was a complete success, let's fuck up all that good will by making Streets of Rage 5 3D and completely redesigning the game instead of using what was already a good base to build on. I really do not understand why it's so hard for devs to give fans what they actually want.

I think any version of Sid Meier's Pirates! (even the Sega Genesis version) might fit the bill of what you're looking for, to a degree.

Trying to make a sequel to Sonic Mania could risk fucking up its own legacy, but Sega didn't learn their lesson from Sonic Mania...Sonic can thrive with a third-party team that likes and understands the appeal that Sonic had in the first place, only to go right back to Sonic Team, which has been behind every Sonic game for 20+ years and why Sonic games have such a bad reputation to begin with.

A single player spin-off focusing on the Apex Predators from Titanfall 2 and EA may win my trust again.

Or

I really wish Pandemic actually finished this one before they went 6 feet under.

To think about it, it's such a shame that most of my favorite vidya series are held by one of the worst game companies out there.

I'm not talking about a sequel. I was more or less talking about a completely brand new game with the same style and art assets. Something that could be a proper Sonic 5.
