I can't really get into specifics without outing myself in game, but anytime he gets into a social circle (usually statics for Savage/Ultimates) and he discovers someone is a girl he starts messaging them and getting gradually creepier with them. He does back off completely if they tell him to knock it off and he doesn't fixate on like a particular person, but if he discovers you're a girl, you're likely going to be getting random messages from him as he keeps pushing boundaries.

Mentors for the most part are the most insufferable and entitled faggots on the game. Ive legit gotten more assistance from actual randoms than the bk crowners. When i started i decided to use the novice network i think it was, the chat for newbies, to ask for help but all i see was people taking about everything except the game. I remember asking a mentor during a duty something about my class at the time(Reaper) and all he told me was to get the fflogs if i wanted help with the class. I called him a waste of oxygen and he got the people in said duty to kick me and report me for being "toxic".
People use it as a global chat because the game lacks any sort of global chat. I get it, it's something Squeenix really should have addressed by this point. But at the same time, they really should spend more time making sure the novice network is actually used for what it is supposed to be used for instead of policing people for saying mean words in an instance and hurting someone's feelings. As it is, people get the burger king crown just so they can use NN as a global chat and feel important.

I'm back in after a 2 year break to raise children and getting DT on sale, catching up with all the drama and I'm glad to see there was a little bit of gay mafia purging in the dev team.
Funny enough, not 10 minutes after first logging in, I had a troon whisper me that my RP profile was now considered transphobic, so I have a pretty good idea how vastly the infection has spread in the player base. So this time around, I'm going to seek out the most racist and bigoted XIV players I can find.
On the subject of Dawntrail, it's a 5/10. The story is full-on sesame street nearly the entire way, the first two zones had like zero punchup in the script. And I am so glad I switched to JP, Zoraal Ja is much more enjoyable with Jotaro's VA. I'd had scored it a 3 but the dungeons were pretty good and Living Memory was actually a great idea for a public zone, I wanna see more chill city zones if they arent going to bother making them dangerous anymore.

Wasn't it before 7.3 you couldn't use them at all in dungeons? That's why I never bothered with them, from memory they only worked in Deep Dungeons so I'd grab one if I was doing that but otherwise it was a waste of an inventory slot.

Pretty much. I always had one in my inventory just for Deep Dungeons. Now I try to keep a stack on me just to try and save wipes in dungeons when I'm not playing a job that has a res. It's still only usable in 4 person content but hey, if I can pick the retard healer up to keep from having to do the Walk of Shame I'll call it a win.
