Anyway, thread tax: Think the only XIV content creator that stuck around (while was still mostly negative about the things going on Dawntrail) was Cider Spider. Pretty much documented his complaints about the game through his achievement hunting and mentor series.

Cider's also one of the few CCs to do something other than raids in this game. The rest of the CC community is obsessed with class balance, raid strats, job design discourse etc. Cider and RathGames are two of the only CCs in this community that actually do interesting things which is why I'm glad they've managed to grow so much.

Dude might be a bit of a fag sometimes but I still like watching his videos compared to the majority of FFXIV CCs (especially since he is one of the few who doesn't sound like he chugs soy and jizz lattes and thus is pleasant to listen to as background noise).

I find the bass boosted Pirate Software-esque voice to be just as annoying, but yeah, he does do creative shit.

I liked Misshappen Chair, but I think he's checked out of XIV.
 
All I keep thinking now is 'who is crawling back next?' Asmongold? Savix? Fucking Summit? Those dickbag raiders who got asshurt because people called them out for using guides when they said they were doing the Raids blind and complaining the Raids were 'too easy'?

TLDW: He does acknowledge that FFXIV has problems, some similar to WoW. But ultimately, FFXIV is a slightly less pile of shit than what WoW has become. He thinks the devs at least somewhat care more for the players and TRYING to make a better game than Blizzard who he believes has completely given up at this point.

I know for a fact Asmongold isn't coming back.
Savix's problem was that he complained that there was nothing left for him to do in the game and he got asshurt when people pointed out that there was plenty to do and that he just didn't want to engage with literally anything in the game outside of the hardcore content. Once the luster wore off on shiny new thing, he just wanted to go back to his bread and butter. No one would've complained if he was just honest and said nothing in the game interested him besides the ultimates but he made a whole stink about the game being boring outside of that and got defensive when called out on how disingenuous he was being. Queue the obligatory "I quit because the community" cope that a lot of these fags like to use to just cover up the fact that they just got bored and didn't want to be honest about it. Savix isn't coming back either. He's way too into WoW to ever leave it and he probably hasn't lived down his embarrassing departure from FF14 either. I don't think his audience would be okay with his switching either and you know...streamers are slaves to their viewers.

I don't watch Summit so I can't comment on him.

The MrHappy x XenosysVex drama is still ongoing:

Just the usual stuff you'd expect. Although something was mentioned that I'd forgotten - MrHappy and Spofie have gotten together. For those who don't know - Spofie was a member of NEST prior to its implosion and it's rumored that she did gay ops against the more chuddy members of the group (she also hates llamatodd). She's also basically on nonstop white liberal woman tirades on social media against people who are critical of the game and community.

Anyway, I find it funny that after years of being a kind of ancillary character in the community, she decided to "settle down" with Happy.

I actually like NEST. They have a sense of humor and people can't use the usual "they're a bunch of chuds" attacks on them because they've got like 3-4 gay people and 1 bisexual who's also disabled plus some non white members. They got a lot better ever since they booted that green cunt Tate and that stupid bitch Spofie.

I'd also like to contribute that MrFaggy basically kickstarted a harrassment campaign against Llamatodd and his wife where his insane fans and alphabet mafia basically relentlessly called her job and demanded that she be fired even though Llama's wife had nothing to do with her husband's dumb online slapfight with MrFaggy. MrFaggy called Llamatodd transphobic because he didn't like Llama's "Make Eorzea Great Again" hat idea and that basically gave the green light for all the crazies to start their cancellation. Yeah, real classy. Drag someone into something they were never a part of just because they're married to someone you don't like so therefore, you have to also ruin her life and their child's life purely by association instead of not being a virtue signalling piece of shit and keeping your beef with the person you actually have beef with.

That's such a fucking scummy thing to do. Have the balls to contend with the person you pick a fight with instead of dragging all their loved ones who had no part of your fight into it because you're a despicable pile of garbage.

I'm praying for the day when MrFaggy and his stupid cunt of a girlfriend become so radioactive with their political views in the same vein as Kate and Sena that SE feels like it's not worth it to consider this colossal faggot a community representative anymore. NEST imploded? What's the tea? I always used them as a marker to know if my raid group's progress was better or worse than the below average group.

From memory at the start of 7.0 they changed the roster quite a bit. woops left because he was sick of their slow ass progress, dunno why Spofie left but their tank Astes also left because he got a full time job and couldn't raid, so they got a bunch of nobodies to join and they weren't as funny, so combined with DT generally sucking people just stopped watching.

Before 7.0 they had that whole thing where Tate, I think his name is GoldenTot or some shit, got outted with a bunch of allegations of being a wierdo so NEST canned him. I'm glad woops' autistic ass left because the guy is about as funny as a wet piece of paper. Spofie left because NEST wasn't progressive enough for her and not everyone shared her ultra left political views so as someone mentioned, she did gay ops against members of NEST that she politically didn't like and then she went and shoved herself up MrFaggy's ass and is basically riding on his coattails while being a perpetual karen online.

Around ShB Goldentot got outed as an abuser and a lot of other things, He was also extremely unhygenic and fat and was gross to his girlfriend. I was trying to dig up information just now but unfortunately trying to find anything about the controversy brought up very few results. There was a google doccy made years ago but it got nuked it can’t be accessed and so did many old tweets from both sides about the situation.

Girlfriend (think he was engaged to her) died as well and she used to raid with NEST during Stormblood (Savannah). Also a massive shitlib but I don't really hold that against him because he is (or rather was) pretty funny with the group.
