I'm no stranger to making poor gaming decisions, I'll readily admit that. And obviously I'm not dumb enough to blindly accept that Bungo is going to magically pull everything together and make Destiny great again. The burden of proof is on them.Bruh.
How many years of being raped by grind, nerfs for no other reason than Bungie hates you having fun, and IP dilution do people need before they learn their lesson? This is Bungie going "Oh, by the way, we are about to start fucking with the meta of MoT, which is the best update the game has had in years, and we know it."
They are compulsive about their inability to leave things that are fun alone.
There's nothing wrong with hope, but this is the equivalent of being raped by a nigger, and then looking at your shotgun-nostril half-breed baby while the 'thing' is sitting in it's car seat and going "You're the best thing that ever happened to me" with stars in your eyes. Can a guy not just have a little hope, though? Going from "this series is dead forever" to "okay it's not" is the first bit of good news we've had about it since...fuck, probably Renegades launch? Regardless of the many, many fuckups, it's still one of my favorite games to play. If they're willing to address one of the most egregious of those fuckups, then that's something.
While it's vindicating as ever to hear Bungie admit to their mistakes that everyone told them about in advance, this doesn't seem like the way forward. Wasting time and energy to restore vaulted content to D2 isn't going to bring the player base back and it's not going to attract new sales in a meaningful way. I've stood by "destiny 3 or bust" as Bungie's only hope for a future. But maybe this is something they need to do to get the current staff up to snuff with the dev tools and to build a viable production pipeline for future entries. Either way, good luck to them or fuckem' or whatever.WE ARE BACK
I just want to be able to play the whole campaign start to finish, rather than dealing with missing content and having a bunch of missions hidden behind six different screens and interfaces. They've got a long road ahead of them if they want to regain players' trust, but considering we were all basically resigned to the entire franchise ending on a cliffhanger a few months ago, we're already in a much better state than we were. Now it's up to Bungie to actually deliver for once. Against my better judgment, I'm hoping they do.
For me it's less the campaigns and more the content they took away. The Leviathan Raids and Raid Lairs, the strikes tied to curse of Osiris etc. I paid for that content, I should be able to play that content even if it's dogshit content.I never thought I'd see people ecstatic over being able to play Red War and Curse of Osiris again. Beyond grim.
I very much doubt this has a whole lot to do with Bungie. Yeah, it sort of like Borderlands with soft MMO features. There are few campaigns to play which are just set of missions; some standalone quests typically for exotic weapons (exotic weapons or armor have unique features, you could wear only 1 exotic gun and 1 exotic armor) which has one mission or so and some grind; different PvP modes which are alright; Gambit which is PvPvE mode, quite interesting but really struggles with balance especially between teams..What kind of game is it anyway? I know it's a shooter, is it something akin to like, Borderlands or something?
which is beyond gay because battleye also works with linux, i don't get it.There was no client side anti cheat until beyond light. It should just work under proton
i doubt it was like that.SONY PLEASE DONT KILL US WE'LL MAKE DESTINY AGAIN WE'LL BRING BACK ALL THE CONTENT THE PLAYERS LIKED PLEASE WE SWEAR!!!!!
did you miss the fact that companies took their emergency gay cure pill last june? especially sony? i mean everyone called it june instead of pride month, JUNE.Its this type of game, and no why in hell they are gonna remove all this shit from Destiny2.
borderlands 4 is paid and gayer, people stick with the free one because it's, well, free...I have never played a single minute of Destiny in my life but as an outsider looking in it looks like the remaining audience has a case of Stockholm Syndrome.
Right now, every subreddit centered around the game is peak battered-wife syndrome. "I love you Johnny! Just please, stop hitting me!"I have never played a single minute of Destiny in my life but as an outsider looking in it looks like the remaining audience has a case of Stockholm Syndrome.
it's literally a desperation move my dude. While it's vindicating as ever to hear Bungie admit to their mistakes that everyone told them about in advance, this doesn't seem like the way forward.
