How will Eren be stopped?

Hiruzu plan: Nobody dies, diplomatic channels open with eldians having the upper hand militarily with both the titan/rumbling threat and economically with the iceburst stone. Only option that has the potential for long term peace with nobody dying.

Zeke's plan: Eldians die in peace, rest of the world unharmed.

Genocide plan: Everyone except eldians die. Entire planet save for paradis inhospitable. Paradis is going to have resource problems in the far off future when they run out of space.

Eren's plan: Eldians die in brutal war, rest of the world annihilated beyond recovery. Ecosystem collapses and planet turns into a barren lifeless rock as the remaing nations fight over resources.

I'm sorry but Eren's plan is retarded beyond comprehension. Its literally hitler going "I commited the holocaust so that a ragtag team of germans would stop me and then the world would forgive us for world war one!"

The whole thing is incomprehensibly retarded. For a series that up until that point had done a fantastic job incorporating its fantasy elements into the politics of the world it was building the ending shits the bed hard.

The genocide should have either succeded, or Isayama should have taken care to not turn eren into a literal unstoppable fucking god if he didn't want it to.

Eren's excuses for all this shit are contradictory and retarded as well. With one breath he says that the reason he didn't stop his friends using his bullshit omnipotency + omniscience is because he didn't want to take their freedom away (but had no trouble taking it away from his mother and all the other people, INCLUDIDNG OTHER ELDIANS, he killed), but after he dies he claims that it was his plan to be stopped all along, and the reason he wanted to be stopped is for the affomentioned retarded holocaust/ww1 forgiveness thing that makes no fucking sense.

Genocide plan destroys the world and then having to live in a destroyed world is a poetic but bleak ending.

Zeke ending eldians in peace is a dramatic and quiet ending, depressing but the world goes forward.

Hiruzu plan also also moves the world forward with an optimistic ending for a brighter future.

Eren's plan kills his nation, leaves his enemies alive and fucks everyone over without any real message other than "damn, eren sure is a dipshit."

I don't care which of the four endings you support as long as its not eren's retarded one.

Personally I would prefer genocide because its bleak and poetic, or hiruzu because its optimistic.

Zeke's plan I don't like personally because its just giving up but it sure as fuck is better than eren's nonsensical retarded one.
I'm sorry but the genocide plan would also leave some of the same problems that Eren's plan would have with the ecosystem and resources especially with how much heat all those colossal titans produce as they trample the land. The full genocide plan is just as retarded as the real endgoal of Eren's plan, which the genocide plan would be a tolerable goal if Eren's goal really was written to be more dedicated towards a selfish desire that he wanted than whatever morally grey nonsense that is written up.

But you are right on everything else, since Zeke's plan while fucked up is a better solution to Eren's idea, and there were better solutions on the table that Eren didn't want because he's a selfish little shit with maximum autism.

The difference is that eren completeting the genocide and thinking he won, but inadvertently fucking over eldians in the long term by destroying the earth is a lot more poetic and deep than half assing the genocide for an undefined, unclear plan that makes no sense regardles of how you slice it only to get stealth bombed 50 years later.

Him "winning" and his victory meaning death of paradis is a lot more intresting than him failing on purpose due to his own stupidity and paradis/eldians dying anyway as it would have had he not done anything to begin with.

Oh I agree honestly him winning because he just wanted to destroy the world because he felt he had to than whatever nationalistic reason there is would be interesting if it's addressed how fucked up it is. Hell him losing could be fine too if it wasn't played up as some retarded as fuck lelouch plan because Isayama didn't have the balls to make Eren fully evil to the end especially with how he was like "The Real Eren is back!" after 139 dropped.

I don't care what reason he has to do what he does as long as it makes sense.

If he commits genocide because he thinks it will help the eldians is fine, if he does it out of selfishness that's fine too, my issue with the half ass plan isn't his motivation, its that the execution makes no fucking sense.

I forgot so please remind me again, but have we got any news about the adaptation for the rest of the manga yet? I know it's going to he after CSM is over, since it's a bigger IP now, but are talking 2023 or 2024 here?

At this point you should know these people unironically see Eren as some nationalist hero who deserves a tradwife, right?
I know, but I’m just seeing this as a way to end the story as a way to avoid the Rumbling and the issues that come with it. Probably also add some “break the cycle” shit if you wanna get deep.

Came across this and it gave me a good chuckle seeing Eren in there.

To be fair he used the anime picture which means he's probably not manga reader. Up until this point in the anime he is well written
>Decides global genocide should be certain because he's familyzoned
>Acts like a generic edgelord after the Hobo!Eren bit
>Does everything for "MUH COUNTRY" yet is the one who causes his country's problems
>Pretty much caused his own problems as well.

Truly a well written character here folks

This is one of my favorite threads in the farms despite not being about a lolcow. Maybe because this series itself is a lolcow.

Great work to all the kiwis that made very in depth anylises and takedowns, they have been a great read, way better than anything Isayama could come up with. Pretty much everything has probably been said but I will try to chip in anyways while keeping it brief:

I think the main reason for the downfall of AoT was that Isayama tried to do literally everything in a single story. He had the audience by the balls at the very beginning when it was about people flying around with ropes fighting the titans but then he had to pile on top on that super powers, political drama, attempts at deep strategic fights with everyone outsmarting everyone else, plot twists upon plot twists upon plot twists, holocaust allegories, time travel, aliens... you get the point. Isayama believed his own hype about being this masterful expectation subverter and just used AoT as a vehicle for plot twists and not much else. By the last third he wanted the story to end in a very specific way so he had to twist and turn the characters and rules of the world into acting in the very specific way he needed to. That's why we have fucktarded developments like incel Eren controlling all of reality and still achieving the worst possible outcome for everyone. I don't think Isayama himself knew what he was doing at the end other than subverting expectations and thinking everyone will worship his shitty overthought yet nonsensical mess.

Anyways, can't wait until the anime finale finally airs. Will be fun.

Imagine this guy being your hero. What an absolute fucking joke.

When it was just a matter of just kicking Titan ass with your awesome powers, I could have imagined it.

You're being dishonest by repeatedly insisting that the only reason he wanted to commit genocide is because he couldn't get pussy. That only became true with the ending, before the last chapter his motivations made sense by wanting to end the outsiders before the outsiders ended the eldians.

Also known as the Naruto formula. Start off with grounded battles with melee weapons and fists. Jutsus and magic that does small damage and might only wound and not kill. A few fireballs and are out of energy. Strategy. Tactics. Low amount of chakra or energy pools even for powerful characters. Secret and forbidden techniques like shadow clones that are impossible to use for all but the most skilled ninjas. Shadow clones when used often can drain your energy and kill you. Only one ninjas in history can use water techniques without being near water. Straightforward story. Countries are at war. They use ninjas and child soldiers in a 'Hunger Games' or 'Battle Royale' to avoid an all our war.

Fast-forward and you have actual god powers. Planet sized jutsus and attacks. Talk no jutsu. Everyone getting revived from the dead. Shadow clones are used by every other character. Characters can throw moon sized fireballs multiple times. All characters can use water magic without a source of water. Secret alliances and loyalties changing like the weather. Characters with secret lineages and alien heritages. Everyone has magic eyes. Even more tailed beasts. Apocalypse scenarios. New levels of plot armor in being reached in a narrative. Naruto is the son of an ancient god yet it was all hard work.
Isayama believed his own hype about being this masterful expectation subverter and just used AoT as a vehicle for plot twists and not much else.
The ends of Naruto and Attack on Titan are very similar. With the ancient lineages and powers that descend from an alien being. Every famous ninjas or titan being revived for the final battle. Talk no jutsu and Eren practically breaking the fourth wall when talking during the later chapters. Power levels bloating from grounded fights to planet sized conflicts in one battle. Political councils or speeches that exploded into huge fights or ambushes. The stories just bloated and grew and grew. And they became an apparatus for "big" moments like explosions, huge fights, assassinations, last stands, last second saves. Regardless of whether or not any of it made sense with the plot. Nor if the scales of the conflicts was consistent with the first halves of the mangas.

I think Isayama and his editors were making too much money with the story and just kept expanding it until it just collapsed on itself. Sure they never to the absurd extremes of Naruto with the filler and movies and gargantuan expansion of the story. But I remember reading through Attack on Titan and thinking very early "this story is going to get out of control like Naruto unless they have everything planned out". And it seemed like they had no idea where to go once they got beyond the walls and off of the island.

Literally who cares?

Eren's motives don't really matter because his plan was still incredibly fucktarded. His incel meltdown is just fun to talk about because of how fucking hilarious it is.

Yeah it only became "true" in the last chapter, but the writing is so fucking horrible that the plot couldn't end with "Erin destroys the world" and the only way to stop that was to make him a pathetic fuckboi.

There was never some magical plan that was in place, it was one random plot point to the next.
