Anyways, I'm not trying to make excuses. We had all the information we needed to write the pilot, and begun the production process while working out other details. If some things need improvement, we will add it where we can, it's not worth it to scrap the months of progress we made to start again.
To be honest? You didn't have the information to write your pilot because you're "learning as you go". And to the last thing,
yes. I'm sorry. As the cartoon stands right now, it's near unsalvagable. This is all stuff you should have considered before writing a show.
You are mostly into storyboarding the pilot for a cartoon with almost no original ideas, boring jokes, stale plots, and a world that doesn't make any sense. The characters are irritating and inconsistent. Your only source of feedback has been the eternal hugbox known as DeviantArt, where people will kiss your ass for miles if you draw inflated animals. And from how you described the process, it's very clear no one has any idea what you're doing. MrEnter spends more time writing dozens of these worthless scripts than helping with the show, it seems. You have no completed series bible and as such no clear reference for how the world or characters work. And from what you've said here, not even the staff knows the history or lore of this world. AND YOU'RE STARTING THE STORYBOARDS.
I understand that you probably have had a lot of your time and effort poured into this show. I can respect that. But what you're getting here isn't an attack. You're getting an honest outsider's view, away from dA where people will just tell you what you want to hear. We're not here to troll you.
And please stop bitching about the scripts. They are ideas, not actual scripts at this point. As we develop the series taking out the flaws and what not, we will rewrite the best scripts we have.
The biggest problem with the scripts is more about MrEnter himself than with their actual content. By themselves, they're bland. But they also contain many examples of pretty much everything MrEnter picks on in his Animated Atrocities. He's approaching his very own series with a big dose of hypocrisy right out the gate, and that's bad news for everyone involved.
And with I'll take my leave, and probably come back here some other time. I have to attend to college work, a job, commissions, my family/friends, and this cartoon.
This isn't a good attitude to leave here on. We already figured you have a life. No one accused you of being a loser. But that doesn't make your show any better. Your team want to impress us with their cartoon? Take effort to finally take some advice for once instead of only accepting the opinions of dA buttpatters.
