  • Yeah, I think it's about that time

  • No, the franchise is dead.

  • NO, A FOLLOWUP WHERE LARA PREACHES BOUT SLAY QUEEN DEFEATING EVIL ORANGE MAN

  • who cares, square enix killed another franchise

@The Last Stand you still haven't specify, you don't like the classics or just Tomb Raider in general?

I've tried the reboot. To me, it tried to be a hunting RPG combination with little structure. The story took itself too seriously with Lara being a victim.
Well yea, the new games suck, but have you tried playing the classic games from the 90s-2000s by any chance?

No, I haven't. I think they're action-adventure like Uncharted, no?
The original 90s Playstation games (and the 2000s Anniversary trilogy) were nothing like Uncharted, like at all. Uncharted came out a decade after Tomb Raider even existed. Besides that, they're both totally different beasts all together.

I've actually been thinking while I was on my way home from my appointment yesterday, and I thought to myself, whatever happened to the proposed Tomb Raider Netflix anime series? After almost a year in, there's nothing but radio silence.

Maybe they announced it the moment they got the rights and before they started animating? Usually takes at least a year to make anything. But your right, I have been noticing that a lot. I remember they said they were going to do DMC, assassin's creed and all this other shit that hasn't come out yet.

Then again, Sonic, Arcane and Cuphead already had announced during the same time these other projects were announced, and now the three of them came out like nothing. And given Netflix's shady marketing and business practices for the past couple years, it wouldn't surprise me if they end up pulling the plug on either of them, especially Tomb Raider given the state it's currently in.

Okay, so I've been rumored that the teaser trailer for the Netflix anime will drop during the live coverage of The Game Awards. I don't know if that is confirmed, but we will see.

So The "Bill Clinton" Game Awards came and went and it turns out the trailer for the Netflix anime never actually happened. Can we just say that it's dead and that 2023 will probably have no more news of the franchise?

I tried playing shadow of the tomb raider again and I can't get over how much more irritating the prologue is than the previous two nu-raider games due to the retarded fat guy side kick. It was so bad I almost couldn't play through it.

The fat maori or whatever he is that always disappears after the prologue is easily 10x more insufferable. Before I just put up with it and then pretended he never existed because as far as the game was concerned he didn't. But this time around it was almost impossible.

My favorite line was when he tells Laura it's "not always about you." Uh yes, it is. Its pathetically obvious they were trying to shoehorn in a faggy white guilt scene here and it comes off as completely retarded. She's saved the world twice at this point in the nu-raider trilogy so even if she had a White Supremacist Savior mindset she'd be 100% justified in holding it given how she keeps having to save retarded tribals from themselves.

I ended up making it to the tribal city before a literal quick time event gave me an instant game over when I had to escape due to me running down the wrong road or something and I had to reload at my last camp fire. I need to get a better graphics card because my 1060 gtx isnt cutting it for this game.

It's weird that you compare either The Last Revelation and Anniversary to Shadow of and you know things are completely fucked up. Thanks for destroying Tomb Raider, Squeenix. Let's hope Embracer fixes the damages. Oh wait, I'm too optimistic about this, they'll probably fuck it up in the new game.

I'm still hoping shadow has a moment topping that scene in the first tomb raider remake where laura "genocide" croft is crying about committing murder.

I haven't laughed so hard in a while.

The writing of the survival trilogy (and the 2018 movie) screams fanfic-tier levels on cringe. Something like My Immortal or the SonAmy fanfics.
