There's been some leaks - apparently the next game will have a lesbian (or maybe bisexual) Lara who 'struggles with loneliness' and has a 'team of tomb raiders inspired by her'.
Absolute dogshit :story:
(It's already being deleted by Crystal across the Internet but there are twitter threads/leaks there).
Remember how fast they ripped Sam out of the new trilogy when they saw how many Sam/Lara shippers arose from TR 2013?

>bought by embracer in may
I'm gonna wait and see, embracer for now was usually smart enough to give their customers what they want, and looking at the sales (which were never good to begin with) there's still hope.
That deal still hasn't closed yet, by the way. Not sure what's taking so long, but don't expect any major announcements before then.

three things

I liked Lara's polygonal conetittys
Angelina Jolie is an outlandish looking person and was a horrible choice for the films, which all sucked Penis
there will never be another 90's
The Anniversary trilogy from the mid 2000s is still kino. So I'd say the 2000s is as good of a decade as the 90s.

I don't have that much visceral hatred of the nu-Lara and her trilogy. They are thoroughly "okay" games, but by no means "bad". With that said the original Tomb Raider games (especially 2) had a unmistakable vibe to them that's been absent well before this latest trilogy. Some of the older TR games felt almost like lite survival horror at some parts due to the stingy ammo drops (of the actual good weapons) and scary traps and enemies. I'd argue that the whole series died with the terrible Angel of Darkness and never really reclaimed its identity. As much as I enjoyed the Legend games they also didn't really feel like TR at all. Way too easy, not enough mystery, boring puzzles and lacking in s o u l . But if you just treat the nu games like a completely different thing entirely they aren't that bad.

I remember reading a preview about Tomb Raider Legend back in '06 in an issue of EGM and I seem to recall them talking about how they intentionally made Lara sexier than ever and made sure to give her nice lips. How far Tomb Raider (and gaming, and society in general) has fallen since those nice days of normalcy.

Aside from graphics, are there really anything noteworthy or good enough reasons to play anniversary over the PS1 games? Just curious.
Underworld is honestly the weakest in the Anniversary trilogy because of its wonky camera work, but otherwise the gameplay in these games are quite fun and addicting and feel like something off of the Jolie movie duology. They're not perfect, but they are the true return to form. Also, Keely Hawes always been my favorite Croft.

Someone should do a meme of Jolie Croft kneeling Vikander Croft's neck.

I honestly should make more memes of my own involving Jolie vs. Vikander.

Since other studios are trying to purchase film rights for a Tomb Raider movie, I'm hoping Paramount (the studio behind the Jolie era duology) would get the rights back. After all, Paramount is currently doing great with the Sonic movies, so here's hoping they get movie rights back. Shit, get not only stars, but directors and writers that know more about the Tomb Raider series than Vikander, the writers of Captain Marvel and Divergent, or the out-of-touch studios themselves. Shit, even Seth MacFarlane could direct a better Tomb Raider movie.

Good. Nu-Lara and the alleged new casting for live-action both suck donkey b_lls.
There will never ever be a good Tomb Raider movie like the first Jolie movie from 2001. But again, like I said, if Paramount wants to get the rights back, they should and return to the classics unlike what these out-of-touch filmmakers did with that shitty reboot. After all, Paramount is doing great with the Sonic the Hedgehog movies so far, so here's hoping classic Croft comes back.

Why is every lesbian character nowadays lonely? Is there something they're trying to tell us.
