and in a lot of people's view, you should have legal recourse if steam decides to take away those games or a company decides to ignore steam and remove the download. at the moment you don't.

I own a all three GTA games on steam, which you can no longer buy and theres only the remasters on steam. If I "dont own this stuff" then why werent they removed from my account the moment Rockstar rolled out the remasters? Same with say Spec Ops the line, I still have it and can still play it. I also have Silent Hill Homecoming, a game you cannot even buy in some countries. If i dont own 'em, why havent they been taken away for such a long time?

i don't know about you, retard, but i own the means to make sure that my property, the items that i buy, are mine by right. because it's much harder to enforce that right with a digital product, i and many, many other people i know advocate for a LEGAL protection to own this software, rather than having a faggot license.
