That stupid chink Ruetoo has been banned from Twitch for being a creep to a woman. (A)

Said woman is a tiny streamer named b0b5 who broke down crying on stream about how much of a creep Rue is in DM's (asking her to sell her body to him in a 'joking manner').

Stream link (can't check if archive.md is the best for twitch VODs since phoneposting: A)
Spicysushi reacting to a suspect Ruetoo clip (warning: very cringe)

LMFAO, the other day he tried to call another female streamer ds_lily and she just joined, called him "epstein of poe" and then disconnected, I will try to find the clip and post it. But I think he isn't genuinely a creep but rather too autistic to know boundaries/limits.

I know that's the first thing she mentioned during this shitpost of an interview with DM:

I went over the discord chat and what the fuck is she even doing, I'm not saying she deserves it but if you had someone keep harassing you and then you respond with funny emojis and "when r u gonna play some pubg" then there is something really wrong with you. This definitely reeks of drama farming.

I'll probably try one of the shapeshifters for a while. But if the skills feel as shitty as almost everything has so far I'll probably give up on 2 until/unless they make some real changes.

I'm not worried about the campaign or end game, but so far everything apart from molten strike just feels clunky as shit. And even MS does until you get a lot of stuff tweaked right (i.e. I wouldn't want to play it as a starter).

All in all, not feeling very hopeful on this game unless they make some significant direction changes.

I changed my mind on Spell totem viability. I stumbled upon Tatiantel's league plan, an OG totem enjoyer, and he makes very good point about number scaling compared to PoE 1's totem.
Instead of about 36% final damage on PoE 1 lvl20 totem (from 40% less cast speed AND 40% less damage), we get about 100% damage in PoE 2 by spending 3 power charges (10% more damage per power charge to cancel out the less cast speed, and the less damage should lower to 0% by gem level 20). Power charges generation also seems to be in a better spot since when I last tried it in 0.1, and Oracle should offer both good scaling and possibly charge generation through crit.
Now the campaign will still be a slog, I'll see if I make it to maps or not depending on my patience and enjoyment. (I know I most likely won't find the 3.1 changes to be enough and stop mapping and the league within a day of getting there)

Disciple of Varashta is tempting but the minion nodes look like bait despite being the flashiest part of the ascendancy.

For my first PoE2 character it looks like I could just go Whispering Ice staff for a cold spell build picking the Staff+Focus node, timeless jewel node, and ES nodes, and not be much worse off than if I'd gone Lich.

Shame, because the Command skills look fun but hell if I'm going to try dual scaling spell and minion damage.

I think there's an angle where you do a PoE 2 version of self-caster golemancer, where you scale spell damage and use the minions only for their buffs and utility. The defensive side looks insane with Staff+Focus and instant ES recharge trigger on a button (12s cd, can be lowered). The utility is good too, I haven't looked into the damage but it ought to be viable.

My personal issue with it is the number of buttons and cds, but it's up to preference.

Pretty underwhelming. The shapeshift stuff is about the same as everything else - too much waiting and clunkiness, not enough oomph. The vines are ok, basically physical spark with some lingering effect, but I suspect they will peter out in the mid to late levels, outside of retarded gear/exploits. Maybe stuff changes later on, but it's so tedious to get there that I don't think I'm going to bother.

Im enjoying it so far, btw that weapon ive had it since early act 3.

I really, really like that the developers aren't some prudes and are willing to wink at the players and make jokes about Atziri's tits and ass.
I didn't yet get to her, but based on the statues in the Temple, they made her THICC.

Apparently, killing the Architect in the nu-Incursion deletes most of your progress:
Lol, lmao even. While the talismans have been a resounding success, they'd rather push that out first instead of fixing what to do after acts, looks like (even nerfed Abyss again)

Instead of participating in the book club like a good cultured man I have wasted time on Path of Exile, but I'm still reading... Path of Exile lore.

Sure, there's the standard esoterics of Divinity and Corruption and Kalandra and leagues as cyclical history and all that stuff, but has anyone already noticed how some of the new POE2 and POE2-adjacent (so, Keepers of the Flame) Breach stuff seem to contain oblique reference to whacky transhumanist / sci-fi concepts?

Xoph's Pyre:
"They drank until only dust remained. Ate until their gums
bled rust. Such was their greed, the only thing that remains
of the Broken Sun... is the Red Pyre, the Torus Eternal."

The "remnant of a sun" that is a "torus eternal?" Sounds like a fusion reactor to me.

Esh's Radiance:
"Where life once thrived, now only metal grows, inching
like endless worms through the ash. Where silence fell,
now sourceless thought whispers numbers in the dark."

Whatever happened to the Breachlords' home realm, it sounds like they're terraforming the remnants into computronium; they're not just industrializing, whatever this growing metal is, it can compute.

Tul's Stillness:
"Countless graves glow silently in endless rows that stretch
on unseen. The living lie within, but do not decay, do not
die. Their eyes remain open, their essence stilled, waiting."

This is just describing cryonics. Maybe survivors of the Breachlords' civilisation are being kept in stasis to then colonize Wraeclast should the Breachlords succesfully invade?

Controlled Metamorphosis:
"Our world was dying, but we chose to survive.
We broke free from the chains within."

Alone this doesn't say much, but from the item title "Controlled Metamorphosis" this sounds like genetic engineering.

Then there's the whole Ailith plot in Keepers of the Flame where it turns out that the Ailith(s) we've been interacting with are all clones who just flat out die when they explode themselves to close Breaches, and then Chayula pops out a new duplicate from a snapshot template. Now, I'm not saying sci-fi has a monopoly on this concept, but the teletransporter problem is closely associated with whacky transhumanist sci-fi.

Did they ever make path of exile 2 not complete shit

With the beta it was grossly oversized acts with samey sections and miserable bog into endless Aztec slop into a fucking shockingly stupid Aztec space faring time traveling plot

The game is like #5 on steam but nobody is even talking about it here

I haven't bothered checking it out since before Druid. Idk, it's extremely early access, and I'm not in any hurry to get back to it while things are basically unchanged.
