In the Q&A, they said that beta testing isn't needed for classes because they have a good handle on how to test them before release. Early access has always been about testing the endgame and the game's overall structure.
Lol, never trust their words at face value (not that they're lying). They released huntress and Lightning Spear was very op initially.
Cast on crit has been nerfed in week 1.... And will still be nerfed next league because it's still too powerful.

My hope for the game going forward would be to stop adding mechanics and systems on top of systems (falling into the POE1 trap)
Lol, I personally gave up wishing for this, cos it already happened, and we are only 2 league mechanics in, kek.

While I appreciate the existence of omens, essences, perfect currencies to make crafting way more deterministic, the crafting is not going to get simpler ever.

Last league they included temple, and assuming they haven't changed any mechanics(which they will), arranging temple was one of the most complicated mechanics in poe games history, lmao, so much for trying to make things easier.

I was simply repeating what they said, which is basically that they don't see a need to introduce more classes for testing to the public before release. And yea I expect some tweaks to new characters and skills when they get released. The error isn't the issue as much as how long it takes the company to respond.

My feeble and impotent mind struggles to maintain a coherent image of all these ever-changing videogames and their endless systems, but I think I figured out what PoE2 0.5 is about. Feel free to correct if/when wrong:

- Expedition, Ritual, Breach etc. are more fleshed out, some if not all of them with their own quests and pinnacle bosses too. They should now feel more like they actually belong in the game world, and more like their own gamemodes instead of sporadic, unfinished out-of-place engagements.

- A lot of shit translating to "Moar crafting"

- Atlas has more fixed points of interest, designated league mechanic areas, more intentional design to the world map, more quests involved with it, new tree

- A lot of shit translating to "Moar endgame"

My brain cramped just when I was about to check out the Fortress, new mechanics, something to do with runes, new ascendancies (my brain did tell me to pick Monk before it stroked out) or skill tree changes so I have no idea about any of that.

Generally, it seems like the game is more compartmentalized and fleshed out, while also throwing new areas, bosses and systems for endgame nerds to rub against their questionably min-maxed and fruitless groins.

It does seem like a pretty substantial update. I will once again play it and most likely find it quite alright, while engaging with only 0,12% of the actual hard content. Then again expeditions looks cool now, that might be my jam; the anchor I need to keep myself invested in the post-campaign game. Here's hoping for the best!

Casual players aren't going to wait to play through a 20+ hour slog of a fucking campaign every 4 months
Casual players aren't playing poe2 every 4 months lol. they're playing every 8 months to a year. The Chris Wilson interview confirmed this, near the end Johnathan talked about how the poe2 playercount is made up of a lot of people from a couple leagues ago.

And I have now become one of those causal players, I first played POE1 since talisman league (that's before ascendancy classes) and atp I feel that game has nothing left to offer me except RSI because it's STILL CLICK TO MOVE IN 2026. So it's poe2 once a year for me, and this new league looks like a fun one worth playing, I want to explore the fun areas on the atlas.

The new Ironbound bow is baiting me insanely hard I hate it. I don't even know what skills would be good but Armor Explosion is calling to me for obvious reasons.

Basically Rain of Arrows or Spiral Volley are the only Physical options, but you could meme in some warrior side fire damage breaks armor with Gas Arrow or converting Ice Shot to fire.

Or just do regular Ice Arrow with Armor Break on HoI with some gain % damage as Phys. Seems like a long way to go just for arrows returning.

Be better off just with Lightning Arrow and ignore the returning arrow bit. Course probably better off with a rare bow.

It's only 75-300 extra with max block, but it'd be great for leveling with Rearguard and a big ass chest.

That bow looks to me like bait for a dex/int class
That bow scales off of armour so I wouldn't say it's good for a dex/int class since they usually don't build armour, it's looking like a Merc/Warrior side of the tree build.

It's only 75-300 extra with max block, but it'd be great for leveling with Rearguard and a big ass chest.
You have to remember that with the new patch there's going to be a way to increase the base stats for most uniques, so it probably could go higher than that.

I don't even know what skills would be good but Armor Explosion
I remember there was an interaction between poison and armor break that you could look into, so maybe poisonburst arrow could be a choice, but idk how much of that would benefit from the returning arrow since poison is a dot build which usually doesn't greatly benefit from extra hits/hit damage.

I don't see where it says armor explosion?
Armor explosion is a support gem that causes armor break to generate an explosion that deals fire dmg based off of your basic attack damage.

idk how much of that would benefit from the returning arrow since poison is a dot build which usually doesn't greatly benefit from extra hits/hit damage.
Right now my convoluted idea is gas arrow with Armor Explosion support into a broken armor consuming skill that will chain through and clean up.

I need the patch notes for next league to see if this proliferation is still going to be a thing. This version of Armor Explosion got GGG triple tapped already and I need to know if it'll get any worse.
