My eyes rolled pretty hard at the “messed with my vitality” whining. Not sure what “vitality” has to do with eating yourself to death on gummi worms.

I thought it was pretty strange that he wasn’t made to go into therapy. Especially with the way he kept saying every setback was from “stress.”
Maybe Dr. Lola didn't have a new wig to wear or couldn't decide whether she should wear the mermaid hair wig, the blonde wig or the purple wig (which is all the rage I hear) so she skipped filming this episode?

Alright this episode is pretty interesting.
Introducing “Someone’s story” for this week’s episode. Margaret is 35, has one of the highest BMIs Now has seen in awhile and is in a creepy co dependent relationship with her mother.

(If someone could archive this that would be great. Otherwise it’s on Discovery plus now.)

Margaret does make some progress but the episode feels like a train wreck just because of how unstable this woman is. She doesn’t act 35 she acts 5.

Great episode just for the bile fascination alone.

This womans backstory is like a parody of the typical tragic fatty past.
I had Gypsy Rose Blanchard vibes watching her with her mother it’s so unsettling. This season is delivering finally after three previous seasons of boredom.

Dr Paradise’s face during her first session is brilliant. Only overshadowed by one of the best Dr Now lectures, ever.

Right? He bolted from that chair when Margaret got up. He’s such a good therapist and I thought what he said about letting Margaret self soothe by walking away and not being coddled by her mother was interesting.

archive Season 10 Episode 10 Margaret's Journey (Jan 5, 2022)

Not from M600PL, but from a brief bit of "Too Large" at the end of the M600PL recording ... I glanced up from my laptop and totally did not register this as an actual human being for several seconds.

I knew we were in for a glorious train wreck as soon as we found out it was not her decision to be in the hospital and that her mom had “gasket by-pass.”

She was fucking disgusting. Big shit smear on the side of mattress she slides off from, and four or five damn yapping dogs crawling all over her gelatinous body like they topped a mountain. Completely naked when the PT nurses came in. No pride whatsoever.
Apparently she just can't keep undies on.....or shoes. So many blurred out crotch shots.
And when the Dr. mentions their personal hygiene immediately, you know they stank.

I really wonder if the dying friend even existed. Even if he did there's no way Ryan could have done anything to help when he can barely get off his recliner to pick up the secretly ordered tendies from the door.

Plus wouldn't his friend want him to get better by losing weight?

I think he either made the friend up or vastly over exaggerated a friend’s health issues.

Ryan just seemed to be kind of a pathological liar.

Lucas’ episode last week was wholesome. He seems like a genuinely good person who got caught up in his mental disorders and lost his way. But I could tell he was going to be successful. Usually when the participants reveal that they played sports in the past or even just held down a job for significant stretches of time, they have some kind of ambition buried beneath all the lymphedema.

Then we get this creature. I was absolutely shocked that she made it to surgery. Dr. Now has no fucks left to give and I love it. But the question is, what exactly is this blob going to do after she gets the surgery? She has no hobbies or interests. There’s no way she could possibly hold down a job. My guess is she balloons back up and dies before she hits 40.

I totally agree. The patients who work or have worked for a living seem to do better.
Think about it, why go out at all if you get a tugboat? Why make friends when you can order all the food you can eat sent to your door.
Half of these people don't even wear clothing, like this Margaret creature.
Even if she lost the weight, she will never leave Mommy. Would you? She gets fed, babied and mom actually cleans her after she shits the bed, like baby, legs in the air all up in her crotch....gross.
Someone mentioned on Reddit that when Margaret rolled out of bed nude, the dogs were licking and chewing the sheet her bare coochie was on. Disgusting people.

The Margaret episode was insanely difficult to get through. This stupid bitch cried and wailed every 10 minutes. I had to keep adjusting the volume just because any little thing that happened would send her into a crying fit.

I lost it when Margaret said her father was 1000 lbs. The abuse is sad, but her family's situation sounded just like this Family Guy bit.

Between all the crying and her mother doing literally everything for her, it was hard to remember that this was a 35-year-old non-rətarded woman.

The fact that the mom stayed with a 1000 pound man ( i don't think he was 1,000 pounds but i do think he was really, really fat) says a lot about her but add on the abuse and 2 children and that says even more about that woman.
I dont understand why people dont walk away when a fatty starts yelling at them and calling them names. Like tammy slaton. If she were to start getting nasty and demanding shit i would say "you want it so bad. Do it yourself." And walk away.
Thats what the mom could have easily done. But she lived in that situation. Margaret even said that the mom would shush them if they complained so their father wouldnt get mad.
I get living in an abusive relationship. This had to of been verbal abuse right? Not that it makes that much of a difference. What makes this situation different is the abuser cannot move very fast.
Take your kids and head to a safe space, even if its a shelter. Any place would be better for your children. She finally did leave, but with only one of her two daughters?
Now she seems to be in the same place she was with the dad, except its her daughter which prob makes leaving a lot harder.
In a weird way she seems controlling. She was always speaking for her daughter and always would say "we did it!" To her daughter when dr. Now praised Margaret.
She prob thinks she is in complete control of the person because she decides what happens, not realizing the other person is the one that is actually in control of her.

I have to agree with people that Margaret’s mom is into this and it’s no accident. She’s just that desperate for someone to take care of to give her life some sort of meaning. That’s probably why she stayed with Margaret’s dad for so long and then decided to fatten her daughter up next. Her mom is in complete control and has abused and manipulated her daughter so much she isn’t afraid of losing control.
