Ryan is the king of excuses. WHAT welder can't find work right now, at incredible wages.
WHAT telemarketing gig fires fat people? They just sit at a desk all day, how taxing is that? He just makes crazy excuses all the time.
He mentioned being too big and weak to shower SO odds are he DID get canned from the desk job because of poor hygiene if you think on it.

I don't know how Job Corps works, but I was wondering if he was really a welder, or if he was just doing the same tack weld over and over in a factory somewhere. But even if he was a "welder", the Job Corps must have mentors that could have put him into an apprenticeship to become a real welder.

I think this was a good episode showing how much addicts will sneak around to get their fix. It is also the rare time when the Mother wasn't the problem. The meal she made him, a small chicken breast, veggies, and dressing, was probably directly from Dr. Now's menu. She also enforced discipline on him - taking away the cheat meal of chicken nuggies from him, and she threw away all the garbage food in the house. If he wanted to succeed, he had all the support he needed.

Did you notice the Mom's boyfriend was the same age as Ryan?

I loled when he told Dr. Now he wanted to be a firefighter. There is a certain breed of idiot who always sets themselves unreasonable objectives to justify failure. He dieted hard for a whole month, eating only pizza, eggs, sausages, tacos, caramel popcorn, and sour gummie bears, it's amazing the NYC FD didn't fly out to Montana to recruit him.

Someone was straight up trolling Ryan in that editing.

The whole episode they had him repeat the same fucking thing the whole time and just showed him being a fatass.

After awhile it was just funny. You could go to a any part of the show and he was saying the exact same thing, to the point where I felt like they were just using repeats of the voice over.

I've also never seen an episode where they had so much voiceover (and I'm pretty sure I've seen almost all of episodes.)

The Lacey episode reminded me of old school MSPL. All I wanted to do was reach through the screen and punch her in her fat face.

This season is starting to look up.

I hope it improves because this last episode was two hours of my life I'll never get back. Just him eating and making excuses.
The stepdad was pretty young but looked prematurely aged and he gets a tugboat so he could have a chronic illness. The Mom appears to have had a stroke at some point too.
Neither of them are in shape to be caring for a big man-baby but they are very supportive considering he's ghosted the doctor. He still shows addict behavior without the drugs. Therapy needed!

New episode preview? Meghan is too fat to get to the toilet in time, so pisses onto nappies on the floor!
Youtube 600lb life
Octavia in season 7 was like that. She was too fat to get out of her bedroom, so she rolled around a mattress in her living room like Jabba the Hutt. She was also too fat to use a commode, so she would lay down some puppy piss pads, roll on top of them and let the piss find its own route down through the fat folds - an act she demonstrates for the camera.

It beggars belief that's the solution they come up with. I know condom catheters don't work on women, but I've see she wee bottles, and someone must make a high strength bed pan. What is wrong with these people that they would rather moulder in their own piss then do literally anything?

One day over of these manatees will buy an inflatable hot tub so they can let the waste fall where it may, and the pump can chop up any solids. It can't be any more revolting than what Meghan or Octavia have come up with, and then they'll be able to make money on Twitch. Tip 100 bits to Fling a bit of mackerel!

Thats not My 600 lb life? Thats another show theyve been doing. Too Large. Its with Dr. Proctor instead of Dr Now.
Omg, TLC has another deathfat show?! Awesome.

Meghan's feeder looks like he came straight off of Reddit. "Met him playing video games online." Yup, sounds about right. Either he's an actual feeder or he's soyboy desperate.

Edit: She has another deathfat friend! Tho this one seems to walk pretty well.

Choice quote: "I'm not any different from a woman that's 150 pounds." 2 minutes later, "I pee on myself 15 times a day."

Leroy seemed about as bright as Michael Halterman at first. But he did discover Ryan pigging out on tendies and quickly alerted mom. I thought that was the best part of the episode.

All Ryan did was make excuses and lie. His family did try to help him stick to the diet. But he'd wait until they were out and then ordered enough fast food to feed a large family.

Ryan "dieting" on pizza and candy was hilarious. Also when he thought he was about 500 lbs when it was clear he had gained. Unfortunately since he was too big for the local clinic's scale we never got to see a real weigh-in. Maybe they should have taken him to the scrap yard or the zoo.

The way Ryan used his "dying friend" as an excuse as to why he couldn't take care of himself had to be one of the most pathetic things I've seen on this show. Personally, I don't even believe this "friend" exists. But he took what could've been something motivating, him losing some weight so he could possibly visit this friend, and turned it into a woe is me excuse to keep eating like shit.

Yep that Oregon Friend sounds like a "Canadian Girlfriend". Non-existent.

Guess the sex of this person:

The body language says it all: Dr. Now gets blocked behind the gunt and arms barrier.

A bit anti-climatic but I suppose they can't all be as interesting to watch as the Lacey episode. Good for James. He seems to have a good support system around him to keep him motivated. The fact that this guy even left the house to go outside for some exercise is a nice change of scenery. Most the episodes I've seen take place only in the person's home, on the road to Texas, and Dr. Now's office.

I'm mixed up a little about this one because I like the train wreck episodes but this guy actually is doing it without bullshit excuses.
Unlike most participants, this dude was educated, he home schooled his niece and nephew.

This episode made up for the fat fuck from two weeks ago with his "cheat days". I know most people watch for the freakshow/trainwreck aspects of it but I really do enjoy when the subjects actually fucking succeed and i think he's the third person to actually do the entire show without hard slip ups or just going fuck it after they get the bypass. I hope Lucas gets down to his target weight and gets that dream job money.

I really liked Lucas. I only wish that Dr. Now had gotten him into therapy. He seems like he’s had anxiety since he was a little kid so I hope he finds ways to cope with that over time.

My eyes rolled pretty hard at the “messed with my vitality” whining. Not sure what “vitality” has to do with eating yourself to death on gummi worms.

I thought it was pretty strange that he wasn’t made to go into therapy. Especially with the way he kept saying every setback was from “stress.”
