Ideally if you have to replace the bolt or any component on your Enfield you should stick to parts made at the same arsenal as your gun, (ishapore on an ishapore, or lithgow on a lithgow) there have also been people that have used bolt and other pressure bearing parts off of DP rifles that ended up being defective, and then the gun blows up.After some research it appears that the recievers don't actually stretch and instead the headspace issues are a result of people carelessly swapping around different sized bolt heads, which were made to compensate for manufacturing tolerances, although much of that "research" is based on anecdotes so take that with a grain of salt. Can't find much about the Savage 99s; the action looks pretty sturdy at a glance but I haven't looked too deep into them. Cool rifles though with advanced design for their age.
