Wow that's impressive.https://youtube.com/watch?v=x2voszREYQgThey added a Spiderverse outfit, and yes: it does animate the same way as the movie.
I do hope this inspires some games to use this. It’s just a lower FPS, but done intentionally and it makes for a great look.Wow that's impressive.
Think of all the stuff that could benefit from looking 2D. They could do a new Dragon's Lair game and give full control to the player.
IIRC the FPS can be reverted to normal if you wish. I didn't think it would look that authentic in action and that they would just apply a filter or shader to the camera and call it a day. I'd love to see a whole game world done in that style though.I do hope this inspires some games to use this. It’s just a lower FPS, but done intentionally and it makes for a great look.
It's definitely something they needed to nail tonally to make sure he feels different to play than Peter.I will say I really enjoy Miles' animations in general. He stumbles when he lands on a perch and panics when falling during web swings.
If only there were some sort of alternate source of spider powers they could have drawn upon instead of the "Gets bitten by Radioactive spider" that would give Miles an excuse for different gameplay. It's definitely something they needed to nail tonally to make sure he feels different to play than Peter.
Shot by a radioactive cop?If only there were some sort of alternate source of spider powers they could have drawn upon instead of the "Gets bitten by Radioactive spider" that would give Miles an excuse for different gameplay.

'Why spiders, Master Wayne?'If only there were some sort of alternate source of spider powers they could have drawn upon instead of the "Gets bitten by Radioactive spider" that would give Miles an excuse for different gameplay.

It's Captain Planet logic.I don't get the villain of this game. He's supposed to be the cooperate greed type that cares about nothing but making money, no matter how dirty he has to play it. This leads to a situation where he's covering up concerns about his new energy source so he can get it out on time and make a profit, but... Like... The concerns are that the energy source is unstable and gives both employees and people in the area a fatal sickness. Wouldn't multiple reactors that are guaranteed to kill both your employees and customers cost you a shit ton more money than you'd get from selling in the first place? Like, people are gonna figure out what's causing it, all the people qualified to handle it will be dying off, nobody will want to buy it and you'll be up to your neck in lawsuits.
No wonder the villain's undone by Miles just happening by a random computer that's conveniently open on all the proof of Simon's evil deeds. It's Captain Planet logic.
They're doing evil for evil's sake just because. If they had a nuanced reason for doing it, it would probably cause people to sceech about Miles not being the perfect and morally pure idol that he must be.
Meanwhile Peter Parker is allowed to be a jerk to people which is why he will always be way more popular than Miles.
