If it's just an adaptation of 1 I don't understand what the problem is. Like almost all JRPGs the story was really simple, they just wrote a novel to tell it when a few paragraphs would suffice.
 
They should adapt the Union X stuff and condense it. I'm just guessing here, but I imagine if you asked the average KH fan what their biggest blind spot in the franchise was it would probably be the mobile games. Ive heard a fair amount of speculation it could be the period of time between birth by sleep and kh1 But that's gonna be a lot of Micky fan wank. Or hilariously watch it be about a failed apprentice he had. Dude already has something of a bad rap because of how he kinda failed in birth.

There's actually a decent amount of potential in doing a failed or kia keyblade wielder before kh 1. If your name isn't sora, the heartless don't screw around. Doesn't have to be mickey, you could do yen sid, or anybody else from the mobile games.

Chain of memories could work with a decent script actually, but I just can't see anybody playing sora in live action for more then a few moments.
 
I hope it's adapted like this one comment I saw on Twitter: the movie changes styles depending on what world they're on.

So if they go to the Pirates world, it's live action but if they go to Olympus it'll take the Hercule's art style.

That's what I'm hoping they do.

But in other Kingdom Hearts news, the same guy that came out with the Live Action rumor says KH4 is coming out next year.
 
That might be what they're after. Maybe they saw the Spider-verse movies and took "changes in animation styles is the new thing" as the lesson.

Chain of Memories would work if it was more focused on the Organization XIII members that were involved with that game. IMO O-13 as a whole were under-developed, as only half of the cast actually have a backstory and are liked by people. Everyone else nobody really gives a shit about, there just -there- Like, everyone loves Axel and Larxene, but name me one person that give a shit or even knows about Lexaeus, or even Xaldin from KH2.

They were hyping Axel so much too and all of it was fucking Kairi shit.

edit I fucking hate Kairi the annoying bitch should have died in one, Sora and Riku are the only canon pairing, Sora does not shut the fuck up about him for 3 fucking games.

further edit, how do they plan to adapt these games because the timeline is convoluted as fuck, we have fucking bloodlines now like its fucking crusader kings 3.
