I think it is an AT-ST. That should also be Endor, according to CBR.

Knowing the KH release pattern, does anyone actually thing KH4 will actually release this decade?

Honestly, I'm just hoping for less Disney in the game - not because it's cringey, cause it is, but because these games are apparently a nightmare to work on from a Legal perspective. I feel like a good chunk of the budget goes to buying the guys who have to deal with The Rat's Legal Team alcohol regarding rights to characters and settings

Apparently that footage was in-game, so maybe it's further along than we thought even with them moving to Unreal Engine 5. Things have come a long way since the days of KH3's development cycle.

That’s being optimistic. Square Enix has been releasing utter crap over the past few years (Balan Wonderland, Avengers, Babylon’s Fall, Left Alive, The Quiet Man, Chocobo GP, etc.). They rely too much on Nomura to break them out.

With this much shown so far and no word on a mid-quel like Dream Drop Distance, yes I do.
 
How do people justify enjoying this series when it's literally Disney consoomer Smash Bros + parody-level anime autism?
 
Honestly, the trailer looks like hot garbage. Generic city, still no Final Fantasy, no teases to any other worlds. If Dolan and Gooby didn't show up at the end, I'd have forgotten this was KH.

Nomura, Sora is the fucking worst part of Kingdom Hearts. No one cares about your fan fic, just give us the normie fun of exploring Disney worlds, while you write high school level fan fic sequels for them.

The leaks for Nvada listed late 2023 So it doesn't seem super far off. Nomura's probably going to pick worlds that are less of a hassle to develop, Most of the reason why KH3 took so fucking long was because they were being hand held by Disney and pixar on what they could and couldn't do with Toy story and a couple other games.

Also I know Rapunzel's hair alone took years to make.

Pretty much. But kingdom hearts loves it's retcons and bullshit so it wouldn't surprise me if yet again we have to deal with another version of organization XIII.

Asides from that though game looks fine. Sure it will be fun to play, but if the story of 3 is anything to go off of, then 4 is going to be a mess in that department.
 
as a fan of the series since day one, i can say for sure i dont look forward to this game at all. kingdom hearts 3 was suppose to be the big bang of the series. the game that would tie everything in a neat package and make 10+ years of waiting worthwhile and what we got, was a wet fart. spent 90% of the game in Disney worlds (some of them being the worst of the series) that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the main plot and than cram in all the story and plot in the last two hours.

dosent help that the games release was a disaster with hard mode being too easy, no critical mode, no way of truing off attraction moves, copypaste keybalde forms and no post game content to speak off. they sorta fixed most issues with a patch but that patch came almost a year later and than sold the real post game behind a 30 dollar paywall.

i used to like Disney back in the day but recent years has made me cringe in disgust of what it has become with its globohomo agenda, buying up IPS and shting them out for set homo agenda and bending the knee for communist china that should be everything they stand against. seriously, fuck them, i will still enjoy the movies of old but i will not touch anything made by nu-disney.

who knows when this game will be released. im in my thirties now and investing in kingdom hearts cluster fuck of a lore dose not appeal to me. im off Nomura wild ride and he can take versus 13 and stick it up his ass. let it go old man!

I have no evidence as to why, but I cannot see them doing too many Disney classics since 3 was already delving into Pixar and they are running low on classic worlds.

  • Endor/Death Star (Star Wars)
  • Springfield (Simpsons)
  • Metroville/Nomanisan Island (Incredibles)
  • More Pirates because fuck it
  • More Toy Story as Nomrua had wanted it for decades.

  • Winnie The Pooh or Hercules again
I feel like these worlds make the most sense. Marvel will definitely have a giant city theme, so New York being the hub of heroes makes sense. From screenshots above, it looks like Endor would be the Star Wars theme, but I included the Death Star because duh. Incredibles is really the only Pixar film left that would be big enough/flexible enough to handle a world. Nemo has the popularity, but doesn’t have the flexibility to work in game, while other Pixar themes are much lower popularity. Pirates of The Caribbean is tradition and so are Hercules and Pooh. I feel like one modern Disney film will appear from after Big Hero 6, so that leaves Zootopia, Moana, and Encanto as the only ones I believe are big enough to make it, and out of the three Encanto will probably win. Toy Story still has 3 movies left for content and was Nomrua’s favorite, so I doubt he will let it go. As for Simpsons, I am just throwing it in as it was a big property Disney acquired that could be thrusted in.

Disregarding how it was the most hated level, I think I am trying to figure out how they would handle partners and Sora’s design. The Little Mermaid at least has a human-based design given the mermaids, Nemo is all fish. Unless they want Sora to scare the crap out of the world’s residents by being designed after the diver.

Nemo and Cars are in that weird category of how would Sora look and how would the character of that world help or attack? I cannot think of a good way Marlin could take on the heartless.

KH 1 and 2 had good use of the Disney world (at least by my memory) but in 3 it felt like an afterthought to pad out the game and unveil yet another boring X clone. If 4 ditches the Disney worlds it might be salvagable, but at best it will have the """mature""" Disney properties who are somehow even more gay than what is intended for children.
