"Another comic complains that anyone who attacks Quinn is accused of misogyny, while simultaneously being a comic in which a cartoon Quinn has sex with five game sites. "

Cracked.com - "What the fuck is a joke?"

seriously i though cracked was supposed to be one of those edgy humor sites that tells college kids who are too afraid of reddit what wacky things are making internet rounds lately. but they can't see that the entire point of the comic was that quinn was obviously having sex with journalists while everyone who criticized her was labelled a backwards prick?

like, the text above the image that said "i just wanted to have fun and suck some cocks but i'm honestly feeling SO ATTACKED RIGHT NOW!" was too subtle for you?
It used to be, but SJW started corrupting it. I sensed it and left years ago... Does anyone know what happened to Daniel O'Brian and Seanbaby? They were the best parts of that site even if DOB could get a little whiny sometimes.

DOB seems to have gotten whinier as time has gone by, and Seanbaby articles pop up once in a blue moon. They have a new tryhard Seanbaby clone, but, well... he's just a tryhard Seanbaby clone.

Damn. I really, really liked DOB.

Just another casualty of SJW I guess.

The problem with Cracked is that many of its readers trust them for the facts. Except when they blatantly get something wrong, then "It's a comedy website! You shouldn't trust them with facts!"

Cracked seems to have been going down in quality for a long time but the way they have shoe horned some of the Gamergate stuff into the site of late has annoyed me and finally made me not want to go there.

Found this on reddit, which are the Alexa rankings through... September 24th, I believe. Kotaku's the only head-scratcher here, because all the others (especially Gamasutra and RPS) are getting to be absolutely abysmal. It might also explain why RPS has taken to begging for people to pay them as "supporters".

Anyway, keep on keeping on, and especially as Pikimon said, use sites like archive.today to deny them pagehits and traffic if you want to read something they've posted.

Am I missing something? Are those charts flipped and they are actually keeping up with page views or did I take crazy pills today?

edit: nvm i dun reed gud

Its just like with the daily show or any extreme pundit, one minute they're the gospel the next they're comedy/satire. Its just a case of trying to have their cake and eat it too and backpedaling when their biased source gets caught I'd also like to point out that the Wikipedia page for Zoe uses her article from Cracked as a source and several people have linked the article on my Facebook feed as legitimate.

Their interaction with Chloi apparently went as follows:

No research just Zoe's opinion. And we now know that the pros email list were all backing Quinn in general so how incredibly hard must it have been for TFYC to get any journalist to come near them.

Well, Chloi I actually understand. She made a statement on her twitter about what happened, and considering that, at the time, Zoe was against them because of a poorly worded statement on their policy on transgender individuals (which they later clarified), and they were against Zoe because they doxxed the guy who was running it, she was hesitant to get involved because it looked like a fucking mess. Sure, we can tell that Zoe was the one in the wrong now, but at the time this thing was boiling over, it was much harder to tell. Backing out was probably the smarter move for her.

I'm sure you're well aware that feminists like Sommers are few and far between. The majority of "feminists" who talk about gaming are SJWs and will happily tell me that I'm "brainwashed by the patriarchy" or that I have "internalised misogyny". If you know of any, other than Sommers, who aren't SJWs and have an interesting point to make about gaming then please let me know. I'd be really interested to see what they write.

Well, I was expecting a specific example of someone telling people who aren't offended to be offended, but I think I get it. A lot of the people who speak out about female representation in video games are shrill and seem to imply that they're speaking for all women when some just don't really care. The problem, I think, comes when we have someone like Mrs. Sommers come in and imply that people like me who DO care have no right to be offended or concerned, or that I have no right to speak up about what I want. As if I'm intruding on a boy's club in the 11th hour and trying to change everything when I've kind of been a gamer my entire life.

IGN just didn't get mentioned in this particular debacle until now because they weren't as close to Quinn herself and the specific issues surrounding TFYC, Rebel Jam, Patreon etc.

This is kind of my point, isn't it? It seems like the only way we're going to be able to get #GamerGate to go after the Doritos Pope is if we link him somehow to Zoe. And if it's not about Zoe, it's about some other SJW. It's going to get to where being seen with one in public is going to be a career ender.

You know, at this point, sadly, I am inclined to accept that as a positive outcome. Then it is a level playing field and both sides are operating under the same set of consequences. Scorched earth to prove a point. Luckily for the SJW side pretty much all of #gg has refrained from the tactics the SJWs have been using. They have gotten people fired during this. They have mailed syringes filled with unknown fluids to people. They dox, harass people on the pbone to intimidate them (especially those "traitorous" #notyourshield people who get most of the harassment).

And yes, they do tell people what should offend them. The twitter feed of the ISIS is better than #gg people (I think that's who it was, too many no-personality-of-their-own white knights to keep track of) was him doing just that.

Er, at the time Zoe was splattering her twitter with stuff against TFYC that she later deleted around the time the Five Guys thing started. I'm still not sure what was unclear about TFYC's stance on transgendered people. Was it at one time not listed very well? Did Zoe decide not try to investigate that further during her e-mails with TFYC? I mean, she cost them 10k when a backer pulled out because of Zoe's smear campaign calling them "transphobic", had a bit to do with the doxxing of the guy who actually put up 10k of his own money to keep things going, and she had everything to do with shutting down an article that would be written about them and give them more coverage. That seems like quite a bit over a misunderstanding that could easily be cleared up through an in-depth conversation about policy.

Edit: Also Zoe didn't try to mend things with TFYC until people over the internet highlighted what she had done to hinder the project.

I really don't see how you come to that conclusion. Chloi is a journalist. They are supposed to investigate things. Someone saying "they're transphobic" should be followed up with an investigation. Also, TFYCs policy was not poorly worded Quinn decided that putting any date on a person's decision to come out as female was transphobic. No matter how incredibly obvious it was that it was there to stop men from abusing the system. TFYC changed the wording because they thought Quinn had misunderstood but that was never the problem. If a journalist sees a mess they should get to the bottom of it especially if they thought it was exploiting people based on gender.

Don't be ridiculous. Sommers said herself, in her #gamergate video, that she thought their were valid points to be made. You've obviously either swallowed someone else's opinion on Sommers or just cherry picked the parts of her statements that got under your skin. Go to 3:40...

Sommers has had to put up with abuse from "feminists" for a long time and they are all privileged women in western countries and if you don't agree with them they will try to crush you. Have you seen Sommers dox someone? Threaten them? Say they should be silenced? Nope... Because that's what the SJW "feminists" do. Perspective please. No-one is trying to silence you. Disagreeing with you does not count.

There are some cunts who genuinely hate women but they are few and far between. We have multiple threads laughing at them on this forum. Think of the ratio of male to female lolcows.

Why? If he and his journos are not involved in the collusion around deciding what was news during #gamergate then they aren't involved in this part. If no-one from IGN has written articles about people (of any fucking gender) they have close physical, emotional or financial relationships with then they wont be included in this part. But they have the email exchanges from all of the GJPs list so if they did something corrupt it will come out. WTF do you expect Milo to do alone? He seems to be taking this seriously and investigating each company as it comes along. You just want them to focus on stuff that isn't remotely related to the corruption that this whole movement is based around?

Did you not get that IA's video was pointing out that these people are so low that they make IGN look good... As in IGN are shit and this stuff is low even by those standards.

There is also outrage from us women who do care about survivors of abuse whatever their gender. Just because Eron is a guy doesn't make what happened to him any less horrendous.I want to see Quinn held accountable and all of the sexist fucks who would dismiss any victim because of their dangly parts.

I love when people use this angle. A phrase or title has as the meaning given to it by others. If there's an aryan brotherhood called "The Brotherhood of the Truth" you don't say "Well, why wouldn't I approve of this group? They sound like a tight-knit bunch of guys who just really, really like the truth". Terrorist groups give themselves names like that all the time. Why wouldn't they? "We hate so-and-so" isn't as catchy.

I know. But somehow, 'social justice' is exempt of it. The idea that there is a groupthink so prevalent that it can define an entire group of people seems to defy their logic.
