Here in the dark cyberfuture EA and IGN are the bastions of rational discourse and journalism.

Because EA is all about money. They know they can't make money off SJWs but they also know enough not to blatantly go against them and stir too much shit. That's the one reassuring thing about a company like EA. They can be cold as fuck when they want to be. They'll buy out studios that make buzzworthy titles then strip them down because at the end of the day it's about making money but that also means making gamers happy to some degree. You can say they're maintaining a level of mediocrity in gaming and not using their resources to actually try to be innovative but even they know not to spit on the people that keep throwing money at them.

This is just like that one tweet where some guy said he had more respect for ISIS than he does for gamers. Disrespectful , stupid, and (if this guy tried to say it was just some joke or trolling attempt) terribly unfunny and ween.

We have entered a strange bizarro world

Where Breitbart does hardcore investigative journalism and NPR is a puppet for a political agenda driven by insanity

Where EA and IGN push for integrity in video games and indie developers are manipulating the system for money

Where Gamefaq's allows free and open speech but 4chan actively censors anything having to do with Gamergate.

What is this world coming to.

Clearly, hell has frozen over and thawed, and then it froze over again, because that is approximately the level of insanity we've gotten to now.

Madness. Complete and utter madness. People are being walked by cats, trees are speaking Japanese and the Kansas City Royals are about to play baseball in October. These are interesting times, friend.

Also Prince is back on Warner Bros. Records. I seriously have no idea if I'm asleep or awake.

I think the big difference between IGN and websites like Kotaku is that Kotaku is both corrupt and staffed with immature hipsters, whereas IGN is merely corrupt. Geoff Keighley may surround himself with product placement and give obviously biased reviews, but he'd never throw a fucking temper tantrum on Twitter about how much he hates gamers.

Geoff Keighley maybe a shill. But he ain't stupid.

Also fun little bit of trivia: Kotaku shares owners with the loony radfem site Jezebel.

So basically they're an absolutely perfect match for the "creepy male feminist that's only a feminist to get sex" stereotype. Like they're literally that.
