I love when people use this angle. A phrase or title has as the meaning given to it by others. If there's an aryan brotherhood called "The Brotherhood of the Truth" you don't say "Well, why wouldn't I approve of this group? They sound like a tight-knit bunch of guys who just really, really like the truth". Terrorist groups give themselves names like that all the time. Why wouldn't they? "We hate so-and-so" isn't as catchy.
Should we really expect anything else from Cracked? At this point they have to be trolling for clicks.

Even better: there once was a group of people called the "NationalSozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei" (National Socialist German Worker's Party). Obviously you'd support them, because who in their right mind would be against the protection of workers? But "NationalSozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei" is a bit of a mouthful, it's commonly shortened to "Nazi Party"...

Obviously, Pro-lifers are the only ones who think death is a bad thing, Truthers are the only ones who say correct things, the Religious Right must be obviously put in charge because hey, why would you put somebody who is wrong in charge of things... After all, why would they be named these things if it wasn't what they stood for, right?

(Heaven forbid you tell them that thanks to their enlightening lecture on how labels are always correct, you've decided to become an MRA because any group that fights for somebody's rights must obviously be a good thing to join)

Do you think any media outlets will support Gamergate or just side with SJW's and Feminists?
No.
No legitimate media will ever give two fucks about this. Entertainment Journalism is a joke. Video Game Entertainment Journalism doubly so.
The biggest this will get is the tech blog subsection of a real media outlet that nobody except the nerds read.

Of course people pick positive names. It's why there's no "anti-life" and "anti-choice" sides on abortion.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but here I go.

Turns out that a marketing company offered a massive :ruse: on the Emma Watson thing, in an attempt to censor the internet by shutting down 4chan.

Watch them take the credit when 4chan implodes in a couple of weeks.
I love how they assume 4chan is the only place on the Internet that does leaks.

I am wondering if some companies would be very upset at this and want to pursue a more in depth investigation, considering it can effect their bottom line
