Katia's been upgraded to a hurricane and is forecast to hit Mexico on the weekend. Guess Trump won't be needing that wall.

Too many people, not enough resources. Same old, same old. I wonder if there are any buildings besides the government ones that arent made of materials scavenged from the wreckage of multiple natural disasters. There are probably sheets of tin that are decades old, and still valuable.

Now TWC says that there's a chance of Irma ricocheting off southeastern Florida (after landfall) and heading up towards the coasts of other Southern states. Should it happen, the most I'd expect for them is heavy rain and/or flooding.

I imagine the worst case scenario is it skimming up across the east coast but enough of it staying over the ocean, so it doesn't lose that much intensity.

Do these models really mean much when there's 50 different models of where it's going to go?

Not really. That's why we decided to GTFO even though we were in northern Florida.

Also trying to sleep in an RV on a foldout bed with 4 parakeets in a cage nearby is cancer.

My stepmom is trying to breed the fucking things. Like 4 isn't enough. My pets are stone silent (3 rabbits) and we have a corgi in the mix. This trip is going to be an amazing shitshow.
 
This would trigger a ton of sinkholes given that Florida is filled with limestone (dead ancient animal bones).

Hey, he did say he'll let them stay in jails which are just as securely built.

I'm not really sure how they're going to do the background checks if the power goes out. A generator to run the computer to check for sex offenders?
