Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

Has anyone brought up Fortnite yet?, I seem to only ever hear about it when they've done a collab with (insert popular pop culture media here) and all the paypigs throw money at the skin for the next naruto marvel or whatever bullshit
They've been doing a lot of crossover stuff lately, but as far as it goes it's less a consoom product thing more just a "hey this is in the game now" thing, usually as a timed unlockable or a thing in the microtransaction shop thing. They tend to put some level of effort into their crossovers in a way that feels a lot less like a consoomer thing than the "600 dollar boba fett helmet!" kinda shit that companies have been pulling these past several years and more just an excuse for more content kinda deal.

It still has the non-battle royale game but the battle royale mode is "free" and gets a lot more attention by the devs, and therefore ends up a lot more popular as a result. I've been actually tempted at times to play the actual original game because it looked fun when I was watching a friend play it a few years ago. I somehow completely forgot about this trailer though where they all had actual characters and voices instead of being generic default voiceless enemies in the battle royale mode tied to "anonymous" players lmao.

This reminds me of branded food and drink churned out by German rappers. One of them named Capital Bra brought out various flavors of ice tea called "BraTee" as well as his own pizza:

That's just the tip of the iceberg. They have their own clothing brands, hookah flavors, and cheap crap that they put in "deluxe boxes" to scalp their retarded listeners.

Kids these days.

EDIT: found a spelling fuckup

Humble Bundle sold fairly remarkable game bundles with Steam keys for "pay what you want", they didn't actually have a minimum, so you could pay just a penny and get five new games every couple of weeks. Generally, there'd be something you'd actually want, and then four other games you could take or leave, but games were still wrapped together in one key. But, no harm no foul, and you could eventually hide games from your ever-growing Steam list to not clog it up.
I was looking at the Capcom bundle on Humble Bundle just now and the charities the purchases support are tranny ones. Is there a way I can change that? Would like to get more games to play but not at the expense of children. I want to support charities for animals and the ecosystem.

Does this sesame street character has any shame?

Click "Adjust Donation" and then "Custom Amount" underneath the checkout button

They force you to give at least $3 to Humble, but you can exclude the charities altogether.

Wait. This guy still exists?
I thought his entire schtick was to fill dead air and endlessly speculate because there was absolutely fucking nothing released about the NX.

I've long thought that the lack of a wire on AirPods, while obviously their biggest selling point, is also their biggest drawback. If one pod falls out of your ear, it can't be saved by the dangling wire. A wireless pod is going to be as good as on the ground. It's also going to be easier to lose just one of them, which is impossible with wired headphones (unless you snip the wire). It's also easier to keep wired headphones with the intended device because it's literally attached to it, and you can wind the wire around it.

I would never buy wireless earbuds specifically because of how easy it seems to lose them, but I can vouch for wireless headphones (as in the big kind that go over your head)

While having to charge them is annoying, they last much longer than wired ones because the wire itself tends to be where headphones break, not the internal components. I've only broken one pair in years of use and that was because they fell from enough of a distance to crack the plastic head band

They always come with a jack for an aux cord so you can still use them like regular wired headphones in case the battery dies, and since the aux is fully separate, you can replace just the cord and not the whole pair.

I would kind of like for there to be wireless earbuds that are like full earcuffs wrapped around your ear so they can't fall off. Not even the way it wraps around now where it's merely less likely to snap off, but designed similarly to the jewelry versions. Fantasy elves were just listening to their thoroughly clipped-on airpods and the human peasants didn't understand and thought it was just decorative.

You mean like this sort of thing?

True, but the wire thing seems to be a problem with gaming branded shit. I'm not exactly babying my gear so after 2 gaming branded headphones that developed wire problems after a year or so, I decided to purchase a Sennheiser with a removable cable with the intention of just replacing the cable.

It's been years and it hasn't needed a cable replacement - not exactly treating it like a baby either - think wearing them while drilling holes for wall shelving.

There's a fair few models of earbuds with different levels of ear-hookage marketed for sports (but not stupid-expensive marketed). I see people jogging around with them fairly regularly and they look like the won't easily fall out. They'd also be the only kind of wireless ones I'd wear, I'm sticking to my wired old-school Sennheiser buds for now (since they're also only 15 bucks if I even need to replace them)
