Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

Too lazy to read this but I’m guessing the girl is just selfish. I don’t know why so many young women feel like they deserve anything they want on their wedding. A wedding is a party, and parties are all about entertaining your guests.
All you need is good food, an open bar and to hire a school bus to take out of town guests back to their hotel

Who the hell wants a Frey ring?

Workout time!

And before you say anything, she's already got your number:

When that one soyjack faggot reacted to the one Star Wars movie crying like a little bitch I was certain it was parody. But no, these people exist. And now I have to know that they exist in the same world as I. Goddamit.

But here's some mind-bleach:

Unless if I'm misinterpreting this, this seems kind of sweet. It's just a guy's would-be stepson showing appreciation for his would-be stepdad by gifting him to celebrate such bond. Not too sure why it had to be a Star Wars t-shirt, but this seems genuinely wholesome. Maybe this is me being optimistic, idk.

Are tattoos a form of consoomerism?
Consoomerism is a pattern of behavior, not what you buy. I have a coworker who has spent over 8000 dollars on tattoos and is eager to spend another 4000 dollars here soon. I would refer to someone like that as a total consoomer.

It probably matters more on the amount the person gets and why.

If someone gets a tattoo that represents something close to them, like a pet or deceased family member, that's perfectly fine and understandable.

If someone plunks down hundreds to thousands of dollars for random bullshit tattoos just because it looks cool and nothing else, then that is VERY consoomer.

I think there are two types of tattoo 'consoomers'. This is not to say all people who get tattoos are, its more people who treat it like getting a new purse and may not have much more thought about it than that. There are people like Anisa Jomha who are using it as a form of personality and are essentially buying their way into a subculture. Being an "alt girl with wicked tattoos, look how old school they are", when the concern about what she is permanently putting on her body and the possible meanings behind it (she has a spider web on her elbow I believe, look it up lol) are second to the dopamine hit of a new product on her body.

Then you have the literal consoomers, those who literally brand themselves with their product of choice. The people who, while not directly giving their money to their brand religion, are a walking billboard for their franchise of choice. Some people are honestly just into the esthetic. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a sucker for Sailor Moon inspired stuff, but some people really just are looking for more ways to show they're the most super fan and no one else can compete (except everyone else who has the same identity as the super fan of their brand religion).

Eh, I have a lot of random games on my Steam account, but the vast majority are there because I got them free or else they were on a fire sale for a dollar or two. I've not even played most of them.
I have a bunch because sometimes I like to waste $5 and play "Ebay Steam Key Pack Roulette" with friends. You get 50-100 steam keys for $5 then take turns to see who gets shot with the hentai game. This is fun for me because I'm the only friend who knows you can delete games from your steam library, so quite a few have shit like Hentai Puzzle 69 randomly in their lists forever now. I am a bad friend. Also it's funny reading the reviews because some neanderthals thought they'd get quality games in the pack somehow.

I like the crypto boys who get tattoos of their new favorite fad crypto only for it to end up being a scam later. Shit ton of them got ones for Safemoon.
