Why do these retards always go public with their projects as soon as they make the tiniest bit of progress? Now Sony can kill it with the full force of their legal department.
It's unstoppable. Don't underestimate how much people love this game, it's like a hydra. They'll never be able to kill the momentum because when they try to C&D one guy someone else is just gonna pick back up where that guy left off.

It's going to be very much dependent on how they've been developing the emulator like most emulators have with clean-room engineering or doing what Yuzu did and using code from the offical console SDK (which helped stop many yuzu forks that sprung up post-lawsuit in thier tracks besides Nintendo being far too happy for DMCA'ing the bloody things) alongside and how they'd try and raise money for it;

bloodborne is just dark souls 3 but you get health back when you hit enemies. Why is it "The" game people want emulated?

It's gothic/lovecraftian horror with interesting combat and it has a pretty cool story compared to other Fromsoft games. None of the 3D Castlevania games are as appealing.

Bloodborne is my favorite, it was also the first game I ever platinum-ed. I fear Sony will go the Demon Souls remake and fuck it up. Already I've seen retards on the internet writing what was wrong with the game and the way they would fix it. Basically making it more like Dark Souls (making blood vials like estus, have lamps work like bonfires, rolling instead of strafe). If autists can port the game exactly as it is on the ps4 then it is a huge win in my opinion

Even if sony actually releases a PC version, it will be infested with their garbage PSN requirement. Whats more likely is they will get bluepoint to shit it up with a garbage remaster destroying the visual identity like they did to Demon's Souls, then release that on PC, complete with the PSN fuck you on top.
It will also be just like that recent situation regarding Helldivers 2 where on Steam they forced you to sign up for PSN, but the keyboard warriors ended writing so many negative reviews that the developer studios and Sony reversed the situation and let them play the game the way it should be.

Granted, they didn’t do it because they felt bad; Sony only did it because their product was going to lose money due to these negative reviews in question, since all they care about is money.

This is precisely why I'm not excited for an official port or a remake of Bloodborne.

Bluepoint did great with Shadow of the Colossus, but in hindsight that Demon's Souls remake can fuck right off. I've been emulating the OG and it's disgraceful some of the changes they made.

I've decided that it's either piracy or emulation. Death to Sony.

The modding/hacking scene is going to be fantastic. It was my first platinum also and my foray into Fromsoftware. It was my exit from strictly casual/easy games as I loathed any kind of difficulty beforehand. It was my first love, so to speak.

I may be one of the only people who wasn't bothered by the Blood Vial system. Instead of leveling up the first couple times, I'd spend all my echoes on vials and build up a nice stash in the beginning of the game. The Quicksilver Bullets, however, were always my bane until late-game. I felt the max cap (even with runes) was too low.

That being said, mods for these things would be awesome, especially the Lanterns becoming less of a slog to use.

Bluepoint did great with Shadow of the Colossus
They screwed up Shadow of the Colossus as well, its just not as apparent unless you are an uber autist about the original game. They filled the forbidden lands with lush foliage and grass, they removed the overbearing white light and washed out colors and replaced it with hollywood green/teal same as demon's souls, and they removed the slight stylization on the characters so they just look ugly. At least the soundtrack is intact because they got the original composer back. The Last Guardian is what the remake should have looked like.

The whole point of the secret garden on top of the temple was that it was the only place in the forbidden lands with lush foliage and life, everywhere else is supposed to be dead and barren and dull. Bluepoint couldn't understand that simple design decision and made everything as lush and full of life as the garden. It really exemplifies the importance of an art director, all their art is good and technically competent, but the direction sucks and has no purpose or meaning.

The only thing about emulating bloodborne is losing the online stuff. When I was still playing bloodborne I'd pretty much just stopped playing the main game and was just dicking around invading games in that area where there's poison gas clouds or something and powerful monsters and you have to run from safe spot to safe spot. That shit was fun as fuck just fucking with people who are trying to play the game. I spent hours just invading people and killing them as they tried to get through that section. It reminded me of counter-op mode in perfect dark.

Though, bloodborne's online still wasn't as cool as the first Dark Souls online stuff. That game still has the best online stuff I've ever played in a game. The way it was all done was cool as fuck and playing the game without it would kind of suck.

Oh, that's very true. I forgot how densely they populated the map with trees and whatnot. The top of the temple doesn't feel nearly as special in contrast to the rest of the world. There didn't need to be literal forests between colossi.

Bluepoint certainly approaches projects with a "we can do better" mindset. I think they chalk up all barren landscape/structures to technical limitations and ignore the thematic purpose it may have served.

Another thing I remember about the SotC remake is the "realistic lighting" sapping that haunting feel the original had. Why does every remake have to strip the style away for the sake of realism?

I don't want think about what they're probably doing to Bloodborne. The environment was so packed with detail that it makes the most sense for Bluepoint to remake it, because they're detail fags, but they'll screw up the lighting by taking all the punch out of it, they'll make me choose between body type A and B, and they'll probably make Adella the Nun black or romani or whatever, lol.

I had a ton of fun with the online too. People actually fought you in Bloodborne, while Dark Souls III was overwhelmed with annoying cunts who'd run away and try to goad you into trash mobs. At least that was my experience. Granted, I never got too into PvP in either of the games, but helping people out was my favorite way to farm echoes.

Thankfully, it's not entirely out of the question yet. There are emulators that support online components, and setting up connections with friends may be feasible someday. The community behind this game's so dedicated I wouldn't be surprised if there was something tangible down the road.

The co-op in DS and Bloodborne was great too. It was a nice feeling helping people out with bosses. I never played the second or third dark souls so I don't have experience with those but I never had much of a problem finding people to fight, the problem with DS1 was anyone I found to fight was significantly better at the game than me or had far better gear than me whereas people I'd find in bloodborne were typically more evenly matched.

It might be harder with something like bloodborne. It seems like one of those online modes that would require a constantly running dedicated server to work. The online in those games was more than just the PvP and co-op. The messages and the glimpses of ghost characters you'd see as you're playing the online stuff is really baked into the games themselves. Playing those games offline just makes them feel a lot more empty all around.

When these guys are nearly finished, FromSoftware and Sony will release the PC port.

Plot twist: it's a reprieve of the original Dark Souls 1 PC port and runs like dog shit.

A server like that exists for emulated Demon's Souls. Someone will do the same to get Bloodborne running online for sure.
