A server like that exists for emulated Demon's Souls. Someone will do the same to get Bloodborne running online for sure.
I know absolutely nothing about what it'd take to spin up a private server but iirc, unlike Demon's Souls which has a dedicated server(s) for online play, Bloodborne is p2p with servers only for matchmaking and minor multiplayer additions like bloodstains, messengers, and the vileblood register. I'm pretty sure the game is capable of generating chalice dungeons without any online as those have been solved, mapped, and hacked extremely autistic detail.

Semi-off topic: why were the chalice dungeons hated by Souls autists? I assume they're similar to the dungeons in Elden Ring and if so I kind of get it because those areas felt too similar to each other and were overall pretty grindy but it wasn't a wholly unpleasant experience playing those dungeons.

I don't know if they were universally hated, but they were pretty samey and at times very cheap.

I'm glad they were there, because the online versions made farming easier and the atmosphere was nice. They did get repetitive though. You'd have to look up a wiki for unique enemy and weapon locations (chalice codes). It's something to do after you're done with the story.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, platinum trophy progress was tied to chalice grind, it could be that.

I ended up loving the chalice dungeons with time. It's one of the last untapped places to offer true difficulty in the late game stages, as well as badass farming spots, weapons with alternate gem layouts, and terrifying encounters you won't get in the main game.

I reckon most people did the first few, didn't see the appeal, and never bothered with them again. I don't blame them because I felt the same way. The initial dungeons are shockingly easy with lackluster rewards.

The fixed ones are ok. They get tedious when you're in some tier 5 FRC bullshit with a really crappy bell maiden spawn that you just can't reach or you run into a super cramped room with a hemwyck witch and her spawns. Do that enough and I can see how it'd turn anybody off. Fortunately, as @eDove said, the useful glyphs have been compiled so the suffering of rerolling them yourself is at least somewhat alleviated.
The effort behind mapping all variants was astonishing. As I alluded to before, I think it's the greatest example of autism coming from the souls community and the only time I'll give redditors a salute. A better time. The bloodborne wiki (gold standard for souls wikis - the fextralife people should rope) has good pages detailing what the heck went on.

You need to complete the fixed dungeons for every character first to be able to generate random chalices. It's an ass design.

But we'll be able to install mods to skip all this stupid grind with the emulator. I think even with a modded PS4 it's already possible.

Bloodborne is one of the best action rpg games ever made. I hope everyone someday gets the opportunity to play it.

I remember having the time of my life with the saw spear, the cane, the rakuyo, the burial blade, ludwig's holy blade, etc. Man it was a blast, fuck the shadows of yharnam though.

What sets it apart from other FromSoftware games?
Combat rewards you for aggression rather than passivity such as hiding behind a shield. Making it more fluid and faster.

The weapons in Bloodborne are "trick" weapons and have two forms. Like you had Ludwig's Holy Blade that is a regular size sword in its normal form and its trick form where you put it into its sheath to become a massive Greatsword. This makes all of the weapons really really awesome. Even the basic Axe is a hatchet type thing normally but can trick into a poleaxe.

Combined with ripostes focused on using the gun over something else it's just a much more rewarding flow of the game.

The Lovecraftian setting, aesthetic, and story is just icing on the cake.

It is not without its problems though. Having to farm healing potions is kind of annoying for example.

Farming for health is fucking gay.

Hyped for this, glory to the emulators. Even though MGS4 is still kindov rough on emulated PS3, the fact that I can do a few missions of that game using my pc controller with save stating is an incredible thing.

Chalice dungeons were a dope "Side B" to a game.

Impressive, however master branch is called main.

Git itself along with Github changed the out-of-the-box default branch name to "main" a few years back. Since ShadPS4 started 2 years ago, it's likely they just went along with that default.
