Installed it and it works, though a lot of stutters in the few minutes I messed around with it.
Iosefka's clinic is super laggy regardless for some reason, see how laggy it is after you enter the city.

Things didn't improve unfortunately, hovering around 40fps with frequent dips below 20. Don't know if it's the older hardware, an issue with using an Nvidia GPU on Linux or something else but it's not really playable.

Installed it instead on my desktop (R5 5600G and RTX 3050) and it's mostly a constant 60 with slowdown when you move between areas but I think that's more an emulator issue than hardware.

I just beat that Gascoigne guy and think I'll stick with it, though the combat isn't quite clicking yet. Maybe I'm too used to the Dark Souls/Elden Ring passive style.

That's funny, for me it was the opposite. I played dark souls and elden ring and viscerally hated both for being slow and passive, but I loved sekiro for being fast and active, so bloodborne clicked near instantly.

Same, Sekiro is probably my favourite of all the souls games but I had a similar experience. It took me a while to adjust and I kept trying to doge and roll away which is the opposite of what you should actually do in Sekiro.

Think it's just going to take me a few hours to get out of the Souls/Elden Ring mindset for me.
