I read a schizo theory about it having something to do with it being a Sony Japan thing and California Sony higher ups don't like the game and want it buried, but I assume that's not true. Easier to believe they're just retarded.
Considering what we've just seen out of Concord? Yeah, they're retarded.

Tested it a little bit.

I'm running the game almost vanilla, and I noticed my game is not looking as good as in these videos, so I probably need to do some tinkering and configuration. The game is not stable too, crashed fairly quickly in the hunter's dream.

But overall the performance is excellent. Great framerate (using the 60 patch) and very few stutterings.

If anyone is curious, that's my rig:

CPU - Ryzen 7700x
GPU - AMD RX 6750 XT
RAM - 32gb DDR5

Would you consider it stable enough for some to play it for the first time or give it another month or two?
It depends on your hardware really, the recommended specs right now are 12 GB of VRAM and at least 16 GB of RAM (more is always better), you can get away with less VRAM through mods and lower resolution patches.

The specs will lower as the emulator progresses and more optimization is done, if you want to play right now I'd say the biggest issues are memory leaks, VRAM/RAM spikes and vertex explosions, there's mods that mitigate these issues but they come with a trade off:

RAM spike workaround:
https://www.nexusmods.com/bloodborne/mods/114?tab=description
Mitigates the spikes by disabling cloth physics, it makes the game way more stable.

Vertex explosion fix:
https://www.nexusmods.com/bloodborne/mods/109
Does what it says but disables facial customization.

Other useful mods:

Generic mod enabler: https://www.nexusmods.com/bloodborne/mods/48
SFX restoration: https://www.nexusmods.com/bloodborne/mods/70?tab=description
FPS boost: https://www.nexusmods.com/bloodborne/mods/27?tab=description
Rainbow Fix (fixes some textures errors, not needed if you use the RAM spike workaround mod): https://www.nexusmods.com/bloodborne/mods/60?tab=description

I'm 7 hours into the game with a few mods, the 60fps patch and no resolution patches with these specs:
4070 ti
13700k
16 GB RAM DDR5
And its been relatively smooth so far, in its current state I'd say its kind of like watching a very high quality camrip of a movie on a scuffed pirate site that you have to occasionally reload.

Are you on the main branch of the emulator? I don't know if that one has added the tesselation update which fixes particles, fire, fog etc. This branch is focused on Bloodborne exclusively and always has all the newest updates: https://github.com/diegolix29/shadPS4/actions

I'm using the latest release. I think my game is looking worse because of the AMD card. I read some commenters saying the latest improvements are only working on Nvidia.

I haven't had a crash in over a week but every now and then I get this issue where some of the environment textures fail to load, usually a ground texture. Relaunching the game fixes it but I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen and if there's a trick to eliminating it.

edit: I think it's a bug associated with running at resolutions above 1080p

I crashed while fighting Gas Can on the previous Tesselation build but that's the only crash I've had. Does your sound work correctly? It seems like it doesn't play all the sound effects properly. It's a very quiet experience in Yharnam right now.

I'm not getting the landing sound effect after dropping off a ledge but that's it I think. There might be a mod fix but I'm not certain, sorry (:_(

Seems to be some sort of bug on recent builds, don't know how well this works since I haven't encountered the issue myself but someone made a mod that's supposed to fix it:

I'm quite impressed that PS4 emulation has suddenly made such a huge leap. I honestly didn't think this would happen for years. It wasn't that long ago that PS3 emulation was crap. Obviously they must have someone quite talented and autistic working with them. I can't imagine where it will be a year from now.

The only thing sony will release is the bluepoint remake full of crippled disabled folx, niggos, trannies, and faggots.

And with a PSN account required, obviously.

Yeah, I'm not buying a game of theirs if it requires PSN linking, period. I was pining for an official port just last year, now I wouldn't go anywhere near it (except for piracy). Also, fuck remaking it.

The only thing it would have going for it would be the online except that BB's online was awkward under the best of circumstances and its pvp was imo the worst of the lot. I'd imagine it's only a matter of time before there's a mod for chalice glyph sharing. You WILL demand the original cummmfpk and you WILL accept no substitutes.

Interestingly, I found Bloodborne's PVP to be slightly better than Dark Souls 3's, mostly because invaders would actually fight you whereas DS3's phantoms would try to lead you into gank mobs (maybe as a consequence of a lot of newcomers to the series). I'm not into PVP to begin with, but that was something I noticed.

I think I read somewhere that modders already have the cummmfpk chalice working on the emulator, haha. I'd love to see more online support for the game either way.

Not to take away from the merits of the nerds working on this. But it's not that surprising. PS3 was propietary hardware made extra obtuse on purpose. A PS4 is a downgraded PC for the most part.

Just making heads or tails of the PS3 infrastructure and doing the translations from what your PC understands and the PS3 game understands in a timely manner must have been a tremendous challenge.

PS4 on the other hand isn't as alien to your PC.
