If anyone found it, I'm interested where is the third bell in Chapter 1 and where is the boss that it spawns. Also missing a meditation spot there but that's less of an issue. Also hope to boddhivista I won't miss the mana restoring soak.
The third bell is to the left of the whiteclad noble boss arena. You're immediately transported to the boss. There's a meditation spot in the middle of the room where the npc with the horse head is, or rather, was. Easy to miss.

I don't play video games as much as I used to, but I picked up this one because it was interesting. I think it's fun. Nothing too special so far imo, but it at least feels like an honest to God video game and not a gay ass movie masquerading as one. I definitely think what's going on with the discourse around this game is Streisand effect. Some stupid bitch said stupid bitch shit, and didn't like that the game was blasting to first place thanks to the bugmen. Then western gamers saw that the usual types fucking hated this game and decided to jump on board, which caused them to start buying/playing it too—causing the game to launch all the way to first place everywhere else. It wouldn't surprise me if Tencent was expecting this to happen, but so far it all looks very organic to me. If it wasn't you'd have Chinese shills everywhere screaming racism.

Thanks, I already found that one, at least it reduces the range of search.
first one is in the early wolf forest where you get the fire wolf transformation, which is obvious unless you missed that somehow

second one is behind where you fight the blue magic guy in the snake forest, iirc

note that when you ring them all the big-headed wandering wight in the wolf forest will disappear, so make sure to beat him first or you won't be able to get that pokemon (happened to me)

You're still going to want to go back to that bell after the hidden boss is dead as there's a useful item that I don't think appears until after that fight. It's on the hanging fox corpse.

It doesn't, since I'm pretty sure it teleports you right there and gives it to you (or at least highlights it) in the cutscene after killing him.

Also while we're on the subject of foxes, as a protip I'd consider not turning in the fox quest in Chapter 3 after you finish it, if you like the item you get during it. You only get one line of dialogue as thanks, and that useful item gets taken away and turned into a curio that just increases transformation durations if you return to the questgiver. Since curio slots are so limited I'd say don't do it (nobody warned me though~) unless that really completes your build or whatever.

Are you telling me not insulting your customers not filling your games with a bunch of gender blobs and focusing on making a good game makes people wanna buy it weird this is how capitalism works.
I look forward to Wizards of the coast GW being bought by the glorious Chinese overlords I love chairman Mao he is the greatest leader in the world shoe Jean ping is #1

I'm a little confused as to why this exploded as a culture war game exactly.

It's not an especially chuddy game, there's no fanservice or sexy female characters, China is an authoritarian repressive regime and certainly not in line with any conservative or right wing values that I'm aware of.
Smear jobs, Feds, and the Streisand effect.

Plus people like @Northern Blockhead [who swears how chuds and anti-SJWs don't have influence protesting games] and faggots like 👇
Chink faggot communist rootkit monkey game
"herro western white monkey! buy white monkey game to own the libs!"

Pure inorganic weaponization of the Quartering crowd. "our game good here is fake story about how BASED our devs are!"

Along with the general principal of:
Are you telling me not insulting your customers not filling your games with a bunch of gender blobs and focusing on making a good game makes people wanna buy it?
winning out overall.

I'm saying that JttW and RottK are the only two stories that ever come out of China despite having more than two stories.
They're well established outside of the Chinese language though, the problem is westerners just refusing to read them for some reason (with the exception of Water Margin, the Brits love that shit)

you may need to explain your logic on that one to us, champ.
Because we've seen that before, and it looked like Naughty Dog putting out misleading trailers so everyone would think their game was full of troons, then directly insulting their own audience. And that worked out super great. Meanwhile all monkey game's promotion was just monke hitting things with a stick, refusing to pay the mafia for protection, and politely asking people not to perpetuate the retarded "controversy".
I'm not seeing it unless you think the new 5d chess play is to *not* fill your game with black lesbians, in which case, go fuck yourself.
That's not what I'm saying. Like I only heard about this game because of the controversy. I don't want black faggots in my game.

Playing Chapter 2, I have no idea who the fuck says it's a boss rush. Normal enemies are way bigger issue than Elden Ring. I wasn't sold on the game until the end of Chapter 1 which was amazing. Headless troubadour is fun too. Playing the game on Chinese.
I felt like it was a boss rush too, the bosses feel very close together and the regular segments feel more like padding out the space between them if anything

1st bell is in the forest where the big miniboss with the golden head was; start from his arena, and hug the wall to the right
2nd bell is just before the shrine before 白衣秀士, again just hug the wall because it's a little hard to find
3rd bell is to the left of where you fought 白衣秀士 boss, it'll immediately teleport you to the secret boss

That's not what I'm saying. Like I only heard about this game because of the controversy. I don't want black faggots in my game.
It's interesting how many people are only hearing about the game now. I remember the demo trailer from four years ago making a big impression but perhaps my perspective is tainted from actively seeking these types of games out.

I thought the game had been cancelled.

This game reminds me of playing Ninja Gaiden for the first time on the Xbox. It's fun, addicting, and just a great game that feels like something that would have come out in the late 2000s but obviously with the polish of 2024 - especially when it comes down to the weird little secrets this game has (which really reminded me of Ninja Gaiden). There have been some pretty exhilarating fights that I wish I could replay; perfectly dodging an entire combo from a tough boss and weaving in and out while you wail on him just feels incredible.

I don't know why people are iffy about it being a boss rush - it's not really as there's plenty of level in between, but it does have like 90 bosses in it. As someone who really enjoys good action combat games and loves humanoid vs humanoid boss fights in them even more I'm pretty happy with this. I do wish there was a parry mechanic like in Sekiro though, and it really makes me excited for From Soft's next game (I heard a rumor they're combining Bloodborne and Sekiro's combat).

The fact that it triggers the gamer journo mafia is just icing on the cake. As an aside, I really enjoy how pretty much 2014 gamergate has been absolutely vindicated over the last few years. It just seems like commonly accepted knowledge now how incestuous the industry is and how they were 100% on target before the journos gaslit everyone into thinking they were only interested in harassing women.

I knew the game's demo trailer from 2020, and I was actively hoping that this would be the true definitive Chinese "game", especially after the infestation of services like Genshin and its ilk.

Glad to see that I was proven right. (now please remove denuvo for gods sake)

Personally I'm not interested in soulslike gameplay, so I'm not gonna play it. But I AM having fun telling people I'm not going to play it because "fuck the Chinese." I don't even mention not being a fan of the sort of gameplay the game has, I just say it's because the game is Chinese and watch people get upset.

Reached chapter 3. If we're comparing to new souls like, as much as I like the game, it's in third place after Stellar Blade and Lies of P. SP just scratched my Nier itch and had fantastic music and really satisfying combat which was mostly really easy, also multiple points of experimentation. LoP had great visuals and gameplay but was too similar to Souls to feel like its own thing. Wukong is fun but the areas are really bland so far, and there's so many times I can do the same basic combo before it gets repetitive.
