I don't know, I think on the scale of evil stuff a human being can do, laughing at people that usually deserve it is pretty low.

In fact, I almost find it karmic for them and their awful behavior, but maybe it's just my brain making excuses after the fact.

Good or bad. Black or white. We are neither. We are in the middle (or I consider myself to be that). Are we "evil" for laughing at lolcows who are morons on the internet? Maybe, but I don't think that make us bad people. One farmer is vastley diffrent from another framer in numbers of why. Where we grew up, what wo consider to make us "good" people etc. To be bad or good is very subjectiv from person to person. I, in the end, consider myself to be "gray".

No not really.

While yes, laughing at people acting exceptional is in a moral greyzone, it’s no different than people watching TLC or The Maury Show to watch people who are complete trainwrecks.

You could say the fact that the majority of people featured on this site have a mental illness probably doesn’t make us look all that great in the public eye- but since when did that matter? A good majority of these same people are horrible folks in some shape or form and have gone out of their way to hurt others; they tend to freak out because they don’t like being on the receiving end of mockery (the Ratking board has no shortage of such folks).

If anything, this is just a shitty gossip forum full of autistics.

I don't know if anyone else on the farms is a bad person. I do know I'm a pretty bad person. I'm not proud of that fact, but honesty is the best policy.

Frankly whether we be bad men or good men the world needs more of our kind. People motivated by spite or pettiness or cruelty or empathy or a wish to protect the innocent or whatever high-sounding or edgelordy fucking spin you put on it, who dedicate enough of their time to dig up shady facts about others and put it up for all to gawk at.

In a world where so many truly shitty people are able to cast themselves as saints despite being the worst sinners imaginable, solely because they have enough wealth or power or connections or social capital to silence their immediate critics, it falls upon us anonymous fuckwits and our kind to keep tabs and archive every dirty little secret and slipup they accidentally reveal.

That way we make it that much easier for them to be knocked from their plinths into the shitpits they belong should the time come when those around them are less cowed or easily bought.

For all that people might try to say this site and the people on it are bad/scary/mean I’ve just joined and everyone has been nothing but welcoming and kind to me.

Laughing at people doing fucked up things to others and ruining their own lives with their inability to reflect and learn from mistakes? I don’t think that makes anyone inherently bad.

Laughing at eccentricity or stupidity isn't necessarily evil per se, though I have no delusions of moral superiority when it comes to Kiwi Farms.

A lot of us here are shitty people, and I'm including myself in this, but most of the people who have threads here are often just as shitty or are exponentially worse.

Some people featured here are pathetic people who never had a chance in life despite their moral failings, Chris is the most notable example of such a person. So, while I may mock Chris for his idiotic behavior, sometimes I'll admit I feel bad about it, and in Chris's particular case, the hardcore weens (Bluespike, Idea Guy, etc.) and haters (Anthony Logatto, Michael Hirtes, ADF, etc.) are people I do not have any respect for.

Some of the more benign lolcows I actually sort of pity and feel bad for, such as Pixyteri or Sailormoonred1.

I feel even worse for innocent people who have been caught up in lolcow drama (Megan Schroeder, Mike Snyder, Mary Lee Walsh, Angelo DeLici, Doopie, etc.) because they get their names dragged through the muck and often attract unwarranted attention from weens just because they were around the wrong person at the wrong time.

But there are other people on here who are truly disgusting excuses for human beings. People like ADF, Nick Bate, Jay Geis, Brianna Wu, the Incels, the Rat King, Alt-Furry, Antifa, Atomwaffen Division, and any lolcow who has been outed as a pedophile. Those people I have no qualms expressing mockery or disdain for.

To be honest, I don't see myself as a good person and the fact that I'm on Kiwi Farms pretty much confirms this.

Being on Kiwi Farms, I've learned that I'm a morally ambiguous person at best (and a terrible person at worst), this forum is full of morally ambiguous people, and a lot of the people who we have threads on are often somehow worse people than we are (though not always).

Just my two cents on the matter.

Nature is amoral, I don't think there exist a universal form of morality.
So it really boils down to your personal preferences and the frame/context of your actions.
I'd consider my action immoral if I did something to someone and I would consider it to be unfair if the same was inflicted to me.

To me lolcow just reap what they sowed, we're just having fun harvesting their fruits and sometimes it's a fair retribution.
Sometimes it's less the case but in the end it's your preferences and how you act based on them.

I've never believed there's such a thing as good and evil, merely people acting within their own self interest. Individuals' self interests can be contradictory, and farmers' self interests entail mocking idiots and spergs, which may go against those people's desire to remain free from criticism. To be quite honest. the Abrahamic religions are way too restrictive, so a person who actually tries to live by every single prescription is probably too boring to be around in the first place.

The worst people in the world are those who view themselves as soldiers of light, entirely beyond criticism, on the right side of history, whatever the fuck that is.

I'm not above reproach myself, but with that being said, you are describing modern progressives.

I think the main trait that all the popular lolcows have is rampant narcissism and people like seeing them get taken down a peg and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

If someone actually wishes harm on a lolcow they're probally a bad person though. (Or are just projecting REALLY hard)

Entirely subjective. I'm sure somewhere on KF there's some cows that didn't deserve to be mocked but every thread I've interacted with the person was an utter reprehensible cunt. Is it "bad" to mock someone like that? That's for you to decide.
