I'll admit, I'm no moral authority on things, especially on whether something is "good" or "bad." I have a morbid sense of humor that would either get me called an edge lord, or a psychopath. I'm going to do my best to give a lurker's perspective on this, as it may be of value. Feel free to disagree, because I'm sure I have opinions that may seem controversial, even to the Farms. Scroll down for a TL;DR.
First off, we're going to look at the surface. Kiwi Farms documents the actions of people, infamous or totally random; and talks absolute shit about them. Users will even dox said persons if they have the information off hand. At a glance, this seems sadistic and users seem to get a sense of schadenfreude. Is that the case for some users? Absolutely, but not for everyone. Some people offer perspective in how a person should handle a situation, and may even educate other users on things, as I've witnessed. Looking like psychopathic stalkers with a hate boner for people, right? Not quite...
We're going to dig deeper and look at its users. Kiwi Farms has a diverse user base, politically and status wise. We see people laugh, we see people sympathize and offer their condolences, and we see people angry about how things are going. Some people even disagree with the way Kiwi Farms conduct themselves, but they will come here for laughs, news, and friends. Kiwi Farms is also not a place full of anarchy, for it has rules, such as no trolling plans, having things be legal to post; and does not act like it has the moral authority on things. You're going to have people swim against the current, but that's natural and doesn't represent the Farms at all. That person represents themselves, no one else. I see nothing but camaraderie and civility on the Farms, and barely anything malicious. People also do a service of exposing some of the lolcows as complete dipshits who are undeserving of sympathy, and they may very well have a criminal record to show how much of a fraud said lolcow is. Granted, it depends on the record, but one's records can show what type of person you are, or potentially were if you had a change of heart.
Now, onto doxing. Doxing is one thing I do not condone on principle; however, if someone is sloppy enough to expose their name or whatever, especially if they have that same information and more on other sites, my sympathy drops to zero. "But Shway, doxing is bad no matter what!" Yes, doxing is bad, but people, in my opinion, lose their claim for sympathy when they are sloppy enough to release their full name, their location, and/or where they work/go to school. The internet can be a dangerous place, so always go under a name that's not related to you at all, and never expose any private information under any circumstances. People are cruel, but you can prevent yourself from being a potential victim.
Now, for the answer: Are we bad people? When you sweep off the dirt that obscures that gem, you see that Kiwi Farms is just a community that laughs and documents people's antics, similar to a gossip website. People have a weird sense of humor, and we don't act like we have moral authority.
TL;DR: No, we're mostly a chaotic bunch with different perspectives.
