Next Halloween episode up:
I think this game was by the same company that did Maabus. Wonder if Ross is going to start digging through their catalogue more.

Yeah no point using your brain when it comes to Ubisoft games, they didn't when making them.https://youtube.com/watch?v=byoCgCrd_dITrying to sound smart while talking about the Division. I swear, it's like watchin' some guy play WoW and go "Well..Why are we attacking these farmers? I don't get the context for this..."
When the game came out absolutely everyone called it out for being morally iffy. Of course it was gaming journalism so it was the usual "we kill people with hoodies, so it's racist" rather than having a game seemingly glorifying a group of government sanctioned judge dread who murder people without need of justification. I think the sequel actually tried to write about that but I haven't played either of the games.https://youtube.com/watch?v=byoCgCrd_dITrying to sound smart while talking about the Division. When it came to Division 2, most journos whined about "Y u no talk about Orange maaaan!!! Yer Nazi supportin Frenchies!!! Talk how orange maaan baaad!!!"When the game came out absolutely everyone called it out for being morally iffy. Anyways great review and it shows Ross is just as good with "new"-ish games.
What is it with Ubisoft games and absolutely atrocious writing? I played through Watch Dogs 2 not that long ago and I guess its similar to the Division (never played it but just watched Ross' video) in that the overall setting has potential to explore some interesting themes but they barely scratch the surface and just piss all the potential away through sheer incompetence.Yeah no point using your brain when it comes to Ubisoft games, they didn't when making them.

They clearly have very talented developers and the games are impressive from a technical perspective but the writing department must be staffed by literal shit flinging chimps.
The thing with Watch Dogs 2 is that they tried to make it more like the 90's movies Hackers than giving it a super serious and gritty storyline, because that was one of the critiques of Watch_Dogs 1 (along with the main character having the personality of a wet paper towel)What is it with Ubisoft games and absolutely atrocious writing? Well in addition to incompetence, Ubisoft is historically limp dicked about making ANY sort of statement despite frequently using "provocative" imagery in their games. So even when you're gunning down rioters in hoodies or fighting the British government in Watch Dogs/Assassin's Creed or taking on Far Cry's varying main villains with obvious real life equivalents, Ubisoft usually makes very little point with these very flashy set pieces. What is it with Ubisoft games and absolutely atrocious writing? Yay a new Freeman's Mind!!
I think Ross is intentionally avoiding the gravity gun because everything was so gosh darn set up for you with all the sawblades and gas tanks. Like it's TOO obvious that you should use the thing you just got and learned how to use. He even was looking around for a "launcher" for the blades.I hope Freeman discovers the gravity gun isn't out of battery, it just doesn't work on organics. Though I wouldn't be surprised is that using the thing is near impossible without it causing some massive problem with the recording.
