It's really minor, but this might be the closest Ross got to being woke. I don't think it counts, but it did catch me by surprise. Although his glee earlier in the episode about killing slavers, combined with our happy merchant above, contrasts with Dr. Freeman talking about how slavery should be brought back but have it on a lottery system in an early FM episode (again, Dr. Freeman != Ross). Not to mention his mini-rant about the vampire wearing skimpy clothing. I'm probably reading WAY TOO deep into this.

Tbf, this character really sticks out considering he's in a dwarven town, though it might be a recurring character throughout the game.
Interesting review though, but the game is a bit too generic to be memorable, unlike Well of the Chosen.

Ross's voice is definitely polarising. I used to not like his voice or commentary on anything that wasn't Freemans Mind but after watching a few Game Dungeon's all the way through, I started to love it. My favourite YouTuber now, probably also because there is no sign of grifting unlike almost every other YouTuber today who hawk sponsored shit and cynically ask everyone to like, favourite, subscribe and leave a comment down below!!

Man, I love Ross Scott but his most recent fan chat went really hard into green fatalism. Ecologists (lol) he trusts say 3 billion people on Earth is too many to live sustainably -- we have ~7.8 billion right now (insert Georgia Stones, WEF, globohomo conspiracies here). Him and the chat also had a midwit take on logistics in the USA as well -- "we should have more trains for freight and only use trucks for the last mile or to go to nearby cities". Dipshit, that's EXACTLY what we've been doing for 100+ years and we're really good at it (all over the world too -- it makes the most money). He lives in Poland and doesn't travel more than 2 miles outside where he lives, so he sees no issue with the "we need less cars and trucks, so the roads are better" argument as well.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as these aren't his areas of expertise (he fully admits that) and he just isn't aware of globohomo like us Kiwis (sorta) are. It's just ironic and sad given he always talked about living on a farm and in forests around nature and away from people if you can, but relies on internet and an otherwise bughive/serf lifestyle (needs to be in a large city for those).

Again, I could be overthinking/looking too deep into this. Perhaps Ross only lives in a Gdansk bughive to cut costs to the bare minimum (he has my respect for that) and/or to placate his wife with "anxiety issues" (that's going to cause major issues down the line -- mark my words).

A shitty old RTS no one cared about get an hour Game Dungeon, come on Ross.
Maybe he's almost done with his backlog of games he barely played or almost played 20 years ago, but since he covered The Division he's opened up to newer, way less obscure games which makes it odder he'd still dedicate an hour long episode to this. He still did a good job with it even with how shit it is.

i disagree and think the weird stupid old games i've never heard of make for some of the best episodes
I agree when the game is something to really look at in awe of it's bizarre nature or if Ross has a personal story relating to it. In this case it's a game he vaguely remembers playing once, and the game itself while it has some interesting graphics, it's not enough for the hour and there's no real attempt at a plot. He still worked with it as well as he could but I don't see this video being very rewatchable.

I really just want Ross to only talk about old Quest/Adventure games, those are his best reviews and probably several time less editing hell. A lot of his recent stuff is ton of work for something not that interesting.
I think the AVGN should append to his list of most important things about video games: "Number two, being able to fucking see them"
