CHELSEA, Manhattan — Multiple people were injured during an outdoor explosion in Chelsea Saturday night.

The explosion happened at 135 23rd St. between Sixth and Seventh avenues.

It was not immediately clear how many people were injured or the severity of their injuries. Preliminary reports indicate at least 14 minor injuries.

The FDNY is on the scene with the NYPD Counterterrorism Unit.

The explosion comes after a pipe bomb exploded in Seaside Park, New Jersey near the Semper Five 5K Charity Run Route. The device was placed in a garbage can.

29 injured, no fatalities.

A secondary, unexploded device was found and secured nearby. NYPD is analyzing this device which has been described as a pressure cooker attached with wires to a cell phone.

Update: It was Islam, of course.

Gangsters stick to carbombs and throwing explosives into each others houses and gathering places. Dumpster bombs is terrorism.

Seriously though, regardless of who planted the bomb and set it off, it IS terrorism - even if a Trump-supporting white nationalist did it.
 
They're refusing to call the IED a bomb after chastising Trump for calling it a bomb so quickly, so they're instead calling it a ""pressure cooker with wires"" (a bomb).
 
Isis and other islams will never own up to the bomb because it didn't even work. You can bet Isis would be all over this if people were actually killed.

I think the authorities are just trying to be thorough with everything before they call a spade a spade, just to be sure. They'll probably say its Isis when everything checks out or they won't if they find other evidence.
