The Asians thing is related to the Empire days, and the fact we control time itself thanks to Grenwich which is where a lot of our modern understanding comes from when referring to the wider world by these terms.

When Britain ruled the Raj (Bangladesh, Pakistan and India alongside bits of Afghanistan at one time or another) it was pretty much their primary holdings there in the Asian landmass, this alongside a lot of land trade routes up into China meant that "asian" in british parlance refers to the subcontinent and its peoples rather than anyone from "The Far East" which is anything to the east of India.

East Asia is thus China, Burma, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Korea and Japan and the people's from there will be "oriental" or "East Asian".

The "Middle" East is a relatively new term as well as a lot of the area was simply refereed to as the Levant for much of human history.

It's a bit like how "The West" when looked at from the USA is a shitload of countries to its east rather than the geopolitical fault line which ran through Berlin.

According to the BBC world news the Officer that was stabbed to death wasn't even armed.

Before images of the suspect started being widely circulated their were people all over Reddit posting archives from 4chan that showed a vague coded message indicating something would happen near Westminster soon. They were real desperate for this to not be a Muslim.

In other news, today before the attack Erdogan said that Europeans would not be able to walk safely on the streets if they kept up their current attitude toward Turkey.

The Muslim worlds favorite leader truly is an example for young Muslims to follow.

Edit: Some of the more reputable subs were apparently to embarrassed to not delete the 4chan conspiracy stuff, but GamerGhazi has been shameless enough to leave it up for now.

The first two to approach him were just regular police officers in their high vis coats. One was stabbed and the other fell back.

He was then challenged twice by armed police as he tried to rush them and they fired three shots, mostly abdomen shots from the images later seen.

This is what gets me. SJWs say people need to die to prove that we're stronger, better than terrorism and more progressive. Those people's death is a necessary evil in their virtue signaling that theyre more progressive because only 8/10 terrorists will kill people and the MSM wants you to think 10/10 terrorists are evil, which totally isnt true! That's only what REAL TERRORISTS want you to believe because they want you to kill innocent people!

Some of our Yank newspapers in the states are using "scare-quotes" when referring to the terror attack as a terror attack.

I know journalism is about being objective, but you can do that and be a seemingly sentient human being.

In Russian, if you called someone an азиат (Asian), I'm sure that 95% of people would imagine a Chinese or Japanese person, not an Arab.

In British usage it probably predates Muslim appeasement. It's still ridiculous to lump in Pakistanis, Syrians and Koreans and Japs all under the same word "Asian".

Do you have a good link for this? I wanted to save it for prosperity but I went to the dude's twitter page and couldnt find this tweet. He tweeted something else to @tariqnasheed but it seems like he deleted this tweet. It's a shame because Im curious what the response must have been. It must have been REALLY bad to get an SJW to retract their statement for political and public purposes, usually they're pretty brazen about 'so-and-so deserved this for their behavior, they wouldnt have had this happen if they werent bad people!'

All the Tories need to do is put forward a normal candidate rather than literally the richest man in Parliament and they'd win. Son of a bus driver will always trump rich fuck.

There was also a bomb scare in Manchester in the wake of this attack. Some idiot left his rucksack on a bus in Salford.

It's so fucking depressing that if some forgetful bastard leaves a bag somewhere, it has to be treated like a potential bomb. I remember forgetting my school bag on the bus or train two or three times while I was in high school, and my biggest fear was that someone would nick my student ID for concessions or damage my books. These days if a student forgets their bag, they'll cop shit for causing a bomb scare and bringing public transport to a shuddering halt.

Especially considering this guy shut down Bury Old Road, which for non-Mancunians out there, is one of, if not the busiest commuter road into Manchester, and this happened at evening rush hour, when everyone's going home.

Yes but it's highly unlikely that there were more than a couple of available ambulances actually at St Thomas' when they were called. They don't just sit themselves at A&E and wait, they distribute themselves across their particular patrol zone so the fact that about fifteen of them managed to converge on Westminster in such a short time is extraordinarily impressive.
