It was terrifyingly bad work too - one of the troons leaked the source code and 90% of the game logic was a single script that plugged into the Unreal Engine and had If loops going 10+ layers deep.
IIRC they didn't even break out common actions into functions, let alone implementing classes. Version control between multiple people must've been a nightmare

Depending on her layoff package, she could've been on the books until March, but left the company in January/February. Very common for employers to structure them so the immediate effect of learning to work without the cut staff is handled sooner, but the books aren't impacted until the end of the quarter.

I don't think the email from Wu is that bad. It's definitely tainted by what we know now, but he's just saying, 'I think you're cool, and your choices have inspired me to try and be better.' Yes, cringe, if Zoe Quinn is your level of aspiration and someone you're a fan of your life is shit, etc. But it's not asking for anything, just expressing admiration - 'women' uplifting women, what Zoe was theoretically about.

But now, more than a decade later, Zoe's turning it into a 'Why are you so obsessed with me?' mean girls classic. She has absolutely no ground to stand on (as just the Brad Wardell example demonstrates), but she has a chance to put the boot in with everyone else and she makes sure to take it, while also trying to let everyone know that the uncool kid thought he was good enough to talk to the Queen of the Playground.

It's manipulative, self-serving, involves several lies and is really only relevant to ten years ago - aka the Zoe Quinn special. It's also funny that Wu did, in fact, proceed to copy Zoe in most ways - including faking harassment, claiming credit for a game he barely touched, and trying to ride the 'cool woman in tech' label as far as possible while doing as little work as possible because they have no actual skill.

There's undoubtedly far juicier receipts on all the main players in GG out there, especially ones like Zoe and Wu, but that this particular email is the one she shared as a high school own is pathetic. One day, one of these bitches is going to go, 'Fuck it,' and release something that is truly damning to the GG narrative they've been trying to protect all these years.
