I'm very concerned that no one had a medical kit out, I know the video is kind of short, and I hope we get more, but if all the people carrying had IFAKs with them, I'd suggest that they should have been visible.

Oh look, people who lawfully carry guns can stop dipshits right on their tracks before they do any more damage.

WHO WOULDA THOUGHT.

Finding a cute anglo has a higher chance of success than that.

- Watch people
Do you really need to tell people this? If you aren't observing your environment you are missing out. Not because it will save your ass someday but that people watching is often damn entertaining. You never know when some weirdo will show up with a sports bra with "WANT WOMAN" scrawled on it. This kind of goofy shit happens more often than you think.

Yeah I don't think we'll know much about the shooter until the authorities release more info -- speaking of which, why haven't they released shit yet? Are we actually being memoryholed here like WTF is so important that they have to wait nearly an entire day to release any info on the perp? We knew who Patrick Crusius and Santino Legan were after a few hours so obviously the shooter doesn't align with someone's narrative or the guy was seriously fucked (like even more fucked than your average shooter), right? How long do you guys think it usually takes for the feds to release info on this type of shit since from my experience I've usually been able to find info on perps in a few hours?
What's weirding me out the most is that it seems like nothing has slipped out on social media, not even anything from a third party. Whenever there's a high-profile (i.e. one that makes the news) shooting, someone's friend or relative inevitably pipes up on Twitter about what they said about the incident and what the perpetrator looked like but nothing this time.

I dunno about that. It took forever for them to release Nasim Aghdam's name after the Google shooting but she and her family didn't do the internet in a more modern social media "look at me and my breakfast" way. When her name did come out it was the middle of the night. By morning all her shit was deleted from the hidey holes on the interwebs it was stored in. But it was there for a bit and it was pretty lulzy.

Point is, this ain't dead yet. Be ready with your archival tools.

Copied from /r/weekendgunnit, written before the shooting:

Three mass shootings in a week, libs on the march, the NRA is in shambles, we're fucked. Want to do something about it? Carry your god damned blaster and ventilate the next Commie/Nazi/Jihadi/Incel/Antifa soiboi fuck who tries to light up a grocery store. Worst case, you go down in a blaze of glory and become a fucking legend for future generations of gun autists....don't worry about your family, the wife's bull will be a far better father to your children than you ever could be. Best case, you win, and get to call Anderson Cooper a cuck live on CNN when they interview you, and will be showered in gunbunny meth till even Taran fucking Butler is jealous. I already hear the bitching, "Why should I have to protect some nogunz rando who chose not to carry?" FUCK THAT. We want to boogaloo, don't we? That's your chance for the memes to be more than dreams. You think the Selous Scouts turned and ran saying "These farmers should have taken better steps to protect themselves, not my problem." To quote grand-pappy Nut'n, "CLOSE AND ENGAGE." Hunnit Dollar Hi-point? Rolland Special? Zap Carried 500 Magnum? Don't matter, draw down, close fast, and put these fuckwits in the ground. Also, carry medical gear, cause lord knows we're gonna get hit at least once before any of our rusted out surplus Chinese 7.62 Tokarev connects.

The author on the shooting:

Thanks brother. Bum deal for the first dude, but he died going for his gun. Would a better drawstroke have saved him? Maybe. Should he have closed hand to hand before the shotgun was in the fight? Probably. But he died on his feet, and likely bought the time needed for the successful kill shot. He's a hero, and we would damn well to remember him as such.

You know I used to be one of those people who thought it was exceptional to unnecessarily arm other people and if other people were armed it would turned into some Alamo shitshow were additional people would get hurt.

I stand corrected.

Without a doubt if other people in that church weren’t armed a lot of people would’ve died today. Very unfortunate for the first two people killed I wish there souls, families and friends the best. You win me on this issue conservatives.

Another thing is why hasn’t this made headlines all over the country? I tried searching up many headlines for this and very few major outlines even covered this. This would be great for the morale of the American public. Instead of cowering in fear, waiting for first responders, and hoping some re-tard’s stray bullet won’t hit you people chose to stand up and say no more. If we had a bunch of headlines like that I bet these mass shootings would decrease instantly.
I’m not surprised at all. The idea that individuals have the primary responsiblity and power to preserve their own lives is anathema to the sectarian left in the US right now. The media just want the narrative that guns enable monsters, not that they empower heroes as well.

Should have let the state take care of it. Never mind that dozens would have been dead if no one in the congregation was armed and they had to wait for the police.

While that may be the prevailing mainstream narrative, I’m actually pretty hopeful that more of middle America is getting the right message. Last time I was at a gun shop I saw several working class black dudes open carrying AR’s. The indoor range I go to always has new shooters, from all backgrounds, and I remember a series of articles after the Texas shooting about the spike in local CCW class attendance, especially among hispanics.

The only person you can count on to preserve your life is yourself. It’s not perfect, but it’s the best you’ve got.

Yes, you really need to tell people this. There aren't as many aware people as you'd like to believe. This is caused by complacency and taking security for granted until tragedy strikes.

As for people living near lolcows; I'm sure they know who they are. They just don't know them like we do. Any Kiwi worth their weight in model magic would be aware of lolcows in their vicinity. That's why I think we only got one photo perspective from that concert.

This isn't going to change the narrative any more than the five gorillion daily gang shootings in Chicago and Detroit will. Regardless, damn fine work.

Dude, there is a whole wide world of weird shit that goes on out there than what is documented on this site. It's just a teeny-tiny snapshot of the weirdos that are out there. Just the ones on the internet that we know of that are funny in a certain kind of way.

People watching is the sport of kings. There is so much shit that goes on all around us but we are kind of programmed not to notice and focus on our own shit. But if you just sit down in a public place with a coffee or whatever and just watch people, something always happens.

That people don't properly appreciate this and never enjoy the antics of others, that's the problem. Nobody likes to be judged and they think if they don't judge others nobody will judge them so they try not to look. It doesn't work like that. So sit and judge. Have your own thoughts in your own mind. But be nice and kind to all. Don't be an asshole. Unless it is called for. Like a circumstance that would require shooting someone with a CCW.

I'd like to think "we" doesn't include informed users here. You definitely pay attention but can you say the same for the strangers around you? I know I can't.
Not sure man. Part of the fun is keeping all that shit in your head. It's not like anyone enjoys hearing you sperg about some dumb thing you saw somebody do at the gas station or whatever.

I think people notice shit more than they let on as a rule. It's what they do in some unrehearsed untrained stressed situation that is at fault. I'm a person who notices people and I can't honestly say that I would have made it out the door faster than the shooter hit the floor. My brain would have had to gone through the "OH SHIT, now what?" troubleshooter and I ain't programed for shootouts.

Seeing things doesn't mean that you inherently know what to do once you observe them.

Look, I’m going to get so many dumb and autistic responses, but I should not have to go to fucking Church armed. That’s lunacy. It’s fucking crazy what we’ve become.

Church used to be sanctuary where no violence was allowed. It was respected by all sides. What in the entire fuck is happening?

Because this sort of thing isn't uncommon. Armed civilians at the scene of what would be a mass-shooting manage to stop the gunman a statistically-significant percent of the time, but that's not what the media wants people to hear, so it minimizes the reporting as much as possible. Hell, Joe Biden was lamenting the exact law that saved these peoples' lives, today. He's not the media, I know, he's just the DNC, but honestly it's functionally the same thing.

Either way, we don't call them Fake News just for shits and giggles. They earned that moniker.
