Maybe not, but it presumes how adamantly someone is offering. It's one thing for him to give in and say yes to a question, it's another when the situation requires him to go out and ask the question on his own.
The thing that surprises me with Chris is that when he got put back into the college they didn't sign him up with the state Department of Vocational Rehabilitation program (DVR). Maybe times were different then but now if you get suspended from a community college due to a disorder (in my state WA at least), they have someone do some medical paperwork on you, you can only get back into the college if you are signed up with Vocational Rehabilitation. And once you are in it they have you create an employment plan [stating what kind of job you want really] and you get state funding for any resources you need, like free driving school or payment for college textbooks for example. Maybe Virginia is total crap but that part surprises me, why did Chris not get signed up with DVR.
