I find it funny how those of us posting Fallout shit in here just prove evrry stereotype of women liking complete assholes who degrade us true. God bless.
Late reply on my part, but Female Courier will always be canon for me. I just like the idea of the Legion men being fascinated by a truly strong, intelligent woman (yet feminine) they can't quite control or understand. I just want to see them sweat; I would be terrified of Vulpes and Lanius in real life though. I don't think Obsidian understood the true sexual potential of the Legion men when they were creating them lol.

Speaking of, I saw this being posted and......a good chunk of comments were about Caesar's Legion with a few men in the comments being very confused HAHAHA

Oh boy, I’ve got a list that ranges from “Completely understandable” to “wow, you’re REALLY autistic!” I think I’ll stick with the safe ones for now.
Nick Valentine. I haven’t played FO4 in years but he solidified me having a thing for film noir detectives.

Father Gascoigne? More like Daddy Gascoigne! Shame about his wife though.

I don’t know why, but something about the male Good Hunter in general really gets me.
IMG_8650.jpeg
A more obscure one, but John Juniper from I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar. A bit of a guilty pleasure since he’s voiced by Wil fucking Wheaton, but I’m not immune to a man in a nice suit. Even if he can be a bitch.

heroic himbo that says dumb one-liners with a convenient self-insert POV (ashley) oh my GOD
i'm gonna fuckin cry, you have no idea how hard i projected on ashley

no pic but when i played my lovingly pirated copy of breath of the wild i found link so adorable that i equipped the fishhead
rubber insulation suit because it looked stupid and made me stop thinking about it

there are others but yeah that's enough humiliating admissions from me for todayyy

to be a female legion fan is to suffer.

to be a female legion fan is to suffer.

i have several hundred hours in FONV and i have yet to complete or even begin a single legion playthrough.
before i learned "how to" roleplay for added enjoyment in these games, i just kind of did the same playthrough repeatedly.

well, now i'm in a curious mood.
how does the legion respond to a female courier?
if anything interesting happens, don't tell me and make me go do a playthrough.
(especially if it would make for a particularly interesting FIRST LEGION playthrough)
if it's a throwaway line of dialogue or two i won't care if you just let me know.

The Legion at large treats you pretty much the same as a male courier actually, just a few of the soldiers make comments about you being a woman (Like Cato not letting you fight in the arena because it's not washing dishes lmfao, and Siri tells you she overheard some of the grunts talking about "trying you out"). You even get a new ending screen with accurately albino Vulpes that only happens if you're female.

It's retarded though Cato won't let you fight when female prisoners fight in the arena and you use the arena to fight Lupa to get her brain.

First there's the classic, my original husbando:
tp-with-everyone-talking-about-the-new-wildman-link-design-v0-wqsen4lwxlha1.jpg
Considering how he was designed for the female gaze I'm sure everyone will agree.
Shit, I think he was my first husbando too. Changed my brain chemistry when I was 13 for sure.

I mean, he was hard working, nice with kids, strong, courageous and kind dude, that right there is peak husbando.

Time to play Twilight Princess again.

Lanius can threaten an enemy Female Courier with rape if you pick the right dialogue options in the final battle (this dialogue isn't modded and can be found on the Wiki).

It was always interesting to me to observe the differences in how the higher ranked Legion men treat a female Courier versus the grunts; the grunts are overtly misogynistic, whereas Caesar, Vulpes and the Praetorian guard all treat a female Courier with respect. Caesar himself I don't think is misogynistic at all, as he clearly trusts in a female Courier's competence to handle the most important tasks for him, like assassinating President Kimball and infiltrating Camp McCarran. Vulpes even works with a female spy in Vegas who feeds him intel on the Three Families, and Lucius of the Praetorian guard will train with a female Courier specialising in the Unarmed skill. Lanius is a genuine woman-hater though, but it only comes out in specific contexts; one of the FNV developers (I believe it was Chris Avellone) said that Obsidian didn't intend to be so on the nose with the Legion's sexism present in the grunt dialogue, and that while women are generally treated poorly in the Legion the personal views of Caeser and Legion men in general are a bit more complex than what's portrayed.

A female Legion Courier will also get unique dialogue in the Lonesome Road DLC with Ulyssess, a Legion affiliated character.

Overall I would say give a female Legion playthrough a try; it's great fun and definitely adds some flavour, especially if your Courier has Good Karma.

I haven't actually gotten that dialogue with Lanius, thank you for a new thing!

I always focus on getting anything speech/battle related really high so conversations with him go pretty quick no matter what.

(Also speaking of, I am sad with how many fully voiced interactions were cut that you need to mod back. I defintely liked the ones where you can ask the female slaves their opinions on things and hear more opinions that "Legion evil I'm treated bad".

The one I remember offhand was one who talks about how it's an improvement from how the NCR treated her, where even as a slave with a travelling army she gets fully fed without needing to whore herself out and most of them respect her. Hopes she can become a high ranking soldiers wife. Also tells a story of how brutally Caesar punished a man who beat his wife to the point where none of the other men did it after.)

@Catboi

Do you have a link to that mod or a YouTube video with that particular slave dialogue? That sounds interesting and I'd like to listen to it.

I'm currently doing an Independent Vegas run (the GOAT option if not siding with the Legion) and I took greater notice in how hypocritical the NCR really is; the NCR soldiers on the strip spend their time drinking, gambling and whoring around, and Nipton as a town only became prosperous as the mayor was prostituting two women to NCR soldiers and Powder Gangers, which inadvertently lead to the town becoming a Legion target. Even the Nipton massacre itself is more complicated at a second glance, as the victims are murderous criminals, a pimp and soldiers, a legitimate enemy target. That's not to say that the Legion are morally good, but it definitely makes roleplaying dynamics more interesting - how would someone formed by violent travels across post-apocalyptic America react to all this?

IIRC This is the one it's in, adds a lot of voiced NPC and model stuff that was cut for time

Here's the interaction I was referring to though :)

now that i've thoroughly accidentally derailed the thread, i kind of wish we had one like this.
there is a "girly games thread" but it's fairly dead and i think it's unnecessarily restricted.
most of the things i'd want to talk about, like this, aren't "girly", per se.
i'm not actually into animal crossing and bejeweled, sue me

anyway, thread tax:

Estinien Varlineau

this guy is a bitch to find any good art of, so whatever. this'll have to do.
either the fanart is someone drawing him making out with her OC or being gay, because final fantasy 14 players are degenerates who made me quit.
final fantasy 14 is not exactly visually stunning, so in-game images don't quite get it across either.

however, anyone else who has played might be able to relate!
he's probably the only "badass" character i can think of that manages to actually be cool while he's at it.
go ahead, make fun of me for falling for the edgy guy who is kind of crazy! i won't even feel it anymore!
by the end of the storyline, the only reason he isn't stronger than you is because you're The Special with Special Powers and he isn't.
but most importantly, i find him very attractive, and that's what counts.

I’ve got a pretty new one. Handsome Jack.
1742355456996.jpeg
I’ve been listening to a lot of his voice lines, and while he’s absolutely a fucking prick I just can’t help but love him! He’s just dripping with charisma despite being such a vulgar, condescending asshole. I’m actually planning on picking up Borderlands 2 now, and first person shooters aren’t usually my forte!

I want to get a beer with Barney

Now... about that beer I owed ya! It's me Gordon, Barney from Black Mesa! Hey sorry for the scare, I had to put on a show for the cameras. I've been working under cover with Civil Protection. We can't take too long, they'll get suspicious and I'm WAY behind on my beating quota.

Connor from Detroit: Become Human will always be my baby 💙 (he’s my profile pic!) Loved him ever since the game came out.

I even have a poster of him on my bedroom wall, that’s how much I love this robot guy lol.

I like Gordon, he's a genius physicist with a nicely trimmed beard and unlike IRL men, he can shut the fuck up once in a while.

While Freeman's Mind is a classic and a work of art, there were also lesser-known "Barney's Mind" and "Adrian's Mind" series that came out around the same time, and they're very silly old internet stuff.
