BoJo looking good on the betting market
Strangely it seems like the DUP will actually be the party that keeps the Tories in charge. It looks like they're going to be around ten seats away from a majority and the DUP have declared they will help already.
This has been an incredible night for sure. It's been fun following it on here with the rest of the British Kiwis
So basically we're slowly moving towards a world where every major political figure will have ridiculous hair.
Unfortunately Wilders lost, so we might have to wait a while still.
So unsurprisingly May's power play backfired but Alex Salmon lost his seat so I'm happy.
318-262.
Then a Tory-DUP coalition it is!
So what shape will that take? 'Stay out of Northern Ireland and we'll be cool'?
DUP already said they were eager to form a coalition if needed, they are pro-Brexit (but doing it softly) and are more center-right than anything else afaik so if May is not a terrible politician (lol) she could hang on that government for a while until she calls new elections a couple of years from now (or steps down and Boris "Remove Kebab" Johnson takes over)
BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg says there will be demands from Tory HQ that Theresa May "must change her style of working" and expand her reach beyond a "tiny" group of close aides.
Laura adds that the PM is "famed for her stubborness", which she casts "as being resolute".
I'm okay with this.So basically we're slowly moving towards a world where every major political figure will have ridiculous hair.
I'm okay with this.
I'm just wondering when the salt starts flowing. Amazed people back Corbyn as he's a fucking marxist who supports Hamas. But whatever can't argue with what the people vote for.
