Time to sleep, finally.

When I wake up, there will be chaos aplenty.

Wow, Fife North East held by the SNP a majority of two.

How the fuck did she fuck this up?

I can imagine a number of Tories are now looking for blood, and eyeing up a certain blond buffoon to take over as party chair.

Well let's see, May or her aides chose to run a hideously presidential style campaign which focused on her and her alone. Major personalities with the kind of reach needed to sway other voters were absent and she was found woefully wanting as a campaigner.

Also they decided instead of just focused on Brexit and keeping things "strong and stable" they decided to try and go for major changes such as social care, pensions and probably threatening the "sins" too.

Looks like they're trying to blame Lynton Crosby and his team for the loss over in CCHQ even though he had nothing to do with the manifesto which seems to have pushed people away.

David Davis is back in contention for leadership positions also.

Amber Rudd scraped home with only a handful of votes, barely 400 for a majority, so much for mooting her as a future Tory leader.

Looks like May will have to send for the DUP and go into either a formal coalition or ask for a confidence and supply deal, giving them the necessary seats to actually rule. She might say she's sticking around for the purpose of "stability" but her days are obviously marked.

You can't throw away a 7-8% lead and wind up with a hung parliament and stay on.

So we're looking at a repeat of the Tory / Lib dem parliament but with the DUP? Nothing builds public and intentional confidence like constant back peddling and copious amounts of in fighting.

The price of DUP support will certainly involve Arlene Foster not being pressed to step aside as putative First Minister to allow power sharing to resume in Stormont. This result is sadly bad news for Northern Ireland.

Possibly, or we could get a system where the DUP agrees to back the Tories, but not hold any cabinet seats (Confidence and Supply)

Well that's not entirely true. @Ravenor for one usually votes Labour, but Corbyn put him off.

I'd like to put a rider on that, I only traditionally vote Labour because there is no other option that I feel represents me i.e. Socially Liberal and Fiscally Conservative but let's not discuss this here as it's not the thread.

Also I'm guessing May is going to resign in a few hours, While I voted con because of Corbin I wasn't too fussy on May neither I know a lot of people were not happy with how she got in and how she tried to bring in yet more American campaigning styles into the UK (we do it differently in the UK) - she just happened to be the best of the bad bunch of lackluster politicians we have in this country at the moment.

May deserves to resign for this miserable defeat. I despise Corbyn, but her campaign was a joke and she threw away a majority on this ridiculous gamble.

Confidence and Supply sounds like the most likely result. Alternative is let them hold perhaps the Northern Ireland Secretary seat and a junior position within the FCO, seeing as their concern is BREXIT.

Lord Turnbull has called on May to resign, and the ITALIANS of all people have called the UK ungovernable.

Also another update. 319-260

It's going to go down in British Political History as one of the worst fucking gaff's and largest foot bullets ever that's for sure.

Corbin as I have said elsewhere a dangerous and useful idiot and while he's gained some it looks to be mostly 1-time kippers and disaffected lib dems he's not delivered on two general elections and it's not been of any real substance, I'm hoping he resigns but I'll not be shocked if he doesn't he's leading a Political party and it's his wet dream.

and the ITALIANS of all people have called the UK ungovernable.

What the ever loving hypocritical fuck?
