The random capitalization should tell you otherwise. His Twitter is either been sold or he has someone proof reading tweets for him. Alot of his tweets lately have been very out of character
your damn forums don't work on my text-based browser
Chris finally picked up a few tricks of the trade from trolls. This tweet and the other one saying Kengle can't draw got me good.

I'm thinking life size cutouts.
curl is the only browser you'll ever needyour damn forums don't work on my text-based browser
wait, sorry wrong webmaster I confused you for null
Some people are just really thirsty to believe in all the dumb shit the cwcki sells them on.
Y'know I own and operate the cwcki, right?
Don't forget how straight he is, and how everyone just loves to be around him.
Oh I know. Ken's just butthurt that Chris shot him down/pointed him out so brutally lol. But even still, that doesn't make his observations wrong. But it does say a bit about who Ken is as a person, imo.
EDIT: Also, since this is relevant to Kengle's tweet:

What's the difference between delusional and non-delusional belief in magic?
Yeah well, he's not wrong. Spiritual beliefs predominate throughout the world. I don't think a clear distinction can be made between magic and miracles, prayer and spell-casting.
For his whole life Chris has felt desperately powerless because he's stupid and dependent and socially ostracized. You know, like most of humanity. So he tries to influence the powers of the universe in his favor. But just as he creatively used an Attraction Sign to find a lady, he's creatively developed a syncretic mish-mash of beliefs from Christianity, gnosticism, folk magic, Roger Rabbit, and videogames to make his life better.
I don't know, Mariposa, I grew up Catholic too, and we were told in school to make room in your seat for the guardian angel sitting next to you. Chris's belief in the "reality" of his Sonichus doesn't sound all that unusual to me. It certainly doesn't sound like mental illness.
I am not a fan of armchair psychiatric diagnoses. Anyone saying with confidence that Chris suffers from schizophrenia or some other serious delusional disorder is talking out of their ass.
they'll become tangible when he dies. like when a stand activates for the first time.He believes they'll manifest themselves tangibly someday.
Chris desperately wants them to, in fact. And that they haven't yet annoys the shit out of him.
But no, they're not tangible yet.
I think this is looking at existing religions through rose tinted glasses. The difference with religion is that it's cultural. It has a cultural and historic background, and it makes sense why someone taught those sorts of beliefs from birth might believe they're true. You could classify religion as magical thinking (and anthropologists often do) but that sort of classification at least makes sense from a societal standpoint.
I run the servers, so yeah, any downtime is my fault personally. If you're interested in the technical specifics, I've covered it here.I am well aware of that Marvin, but I hope you're not the reason why it is constantly offline days at a time.
It's a little more nuanced than that. Also, it's not that some people believe every word on the wiki, it's more like they see the pictures on there as proof as to what Chris did.
Yeah, but you're missing my point. Most normal people (theists and atheists both) think Scientologists, UFO cultists, and black israelites are insane. Those religions aren't culturally accepted. Yet.I think this is looking at existing religions through rose tinted glasses.
People invent new religions all the time. Or at least ones with barely a tangible connection to existing religions.
Consider all the new age religions people are getting into, Scientology, UFO religions, or hell, all of Mormonism. Black Israelites.
People think they're crazy, sure, but by medical standards, they can't be considered insane because in the historical and cultural context of the United States, psychologists couldn't categorize religious beliefs as mental illness and hope to keep their branch of medicine intact.Yeah, but you're missing my point. Most normal people (theists and atheists both) think Scientologists, UFO cultists, and black israelites are insane. Those religions aren't culturally accepted. Yet.
Oh no, I'm not saying they're actually insane. Dumb? Gullible? Yeah, maybe. But actually insane? No. I'd say most are normal people.People think they're crazy, sure, but by medical standards, they can't be considered insane because in the historical and cultural context of the United States, psychologists couldn't categorize religious beliefs as mental illness and hope to keep their branch of medicine intact.
They had to really trim down their standard for insanity.
And Chris had Idea Guy photoshopping scenes from "cwcville" and telling Chris they were real. And Chris picked up his magical beliefs from pop culture (like how he thinks he can curse people) or actual legitimate woo peddlers online, like with the binaural beats.Oh no, I'm not saying they're actually insane. Dumb? Gullible? Yeah, maybe. But actually insane? No. I'd say most are normal people.
But Chris? Chris is autistic. Idk man, I just feel weird validating Chris's beliefs (regardless of whether you want to classify them as magical beliefs or flat out delusions) and comparing them to a religion, simply because religions (or even cults) involve more than one person. Shared delusions, if you will...
