Once again MrEnter's intense autism rears its ugly head as he's completely incapable of understanding the concept of juxtaposition. Of course it makes no sense. THAT'S THE FUCKING JOKE. It's not supposed to tell a deep complex story about how a world like this would really work. It's supposed to be funny. Now, it's true that the joke didn't really pan out and couldn't have carried a whole series. But that doesn't mean "Oh this is totally a good concept to seriously explore!" It isn't.

That's even worse. These kids are IDIOTS. Unlikable, whiny idiots. Drop the pretenses that it's good to identify with them or treat them like role models.

Also what the fuck is the point of adults going to school? I'm coming into this show knowing that kids are more receptive to learning. So just throwing them into the world to lead while teaching them all the vital information later is just stupid.

It would be funnier if the kids were somehow smarter than adults, but of course Enter can't understand humor and that has been done before.

@KFC I watch and enjoy a show, so I'm apparently obsessed with it? I watch more media other than MLP that I enjoy. EX - Steven Universe, The Walking Dead, Avatar the Last Airbender. I dabble in the MLP community often since it's something special to me. During the time I watched MLP I made great friends and changed from an antisocial shut-in to someone with goals and aspirations.

Oh, so you dabble? Please, explain to me why at least have of your accounts online are devoted to MLP. Most of the other half indulge in MLP too. That is pretty obsessive if you ask me.

Hey, that's what happens when you overanalyze the heck out of SpongeBob and other humorous cartoons! (this is coming from someone who enjoys basic reviewing of the episodes)

Sweet mother of mercy, so much delusion.

Friendly proposition to Nayolfa if he's still reading: Read about how cartoon production actually goes. I'm sure there's books or even articles about the inner workings of an animated series. Because it's pretty obvious that you haven't the singlest idea about how it goes. The storyboarding that they normally show in DVD interviews and the animation aren't the only parts involved. If it was something that was going on the internet, then you'd have all the time and freedom in the world to do it however you wanted, but you want to pitch this to CARTOON freaking NETWORK. If it doesn't look professional, they'll give you a lollipop and send you home. You'll embarass yourselves more than you alone already did on this forum. Not just you and Enter, but your entire team, will have their efforts amount to nothing.

So either get serious or get realistic.

^ This.

Wow, this thread got aggressive really quickly. Since no ones offering anything new to help, this thread isn't helpful anymore. To those who offered useful information to the table, I thank you and I will use it to improve the cartoon.

Just remember, we already are set on learning how to make the cartoon through the pilot. And sorry if you think it's not an efficient way to make a cartoon, but it's working for the us. Everybody working on GA is learning new and useful things that will help them out in the long run. Hell, I've learned more working on this project about art than I did from a high school teacher.

If anyone has any useful tips on how to improve the cartoon toss me a note on my DeviantArt, it's the only website I really use.

I just unfollowed Mr. Enter on YouTube, DeviantArt, Twitter and Tumblr. I don't need to pollute my mind with his trash.

I can't believe it took me til Growing Around to see his flaws, but oh well. I hope it'll be a wake-up call to other fans. But seeing as how his fans like to kiss ass... no chance of that happening. At first I just ignored the Growing Around crap, but now I just can't ignore it. His ego is at OPL levels now.

I'm probably going to do the same soon.

Hoss, we're being aggressive because you won't listen to our criticisms, and you're knee-deep in delusion.

Go ahead and learn through the pilot. But don't blame us if your team pitches this to Cartoon Network and it bombs.

Can't wait for this to be the next Sonichu. :D

I imagine Enter snapping and making a video whining about it failing and demanding large sums of money to make it a web-toon.

Insert people like Clay Claymore hating on it, and yeah.

And to be honest? Many people who went on to make successful cartoons began by working on cartoons other people made. Alex Hirsch (Gravity Falls), Pendleton Ward (Adventure Time) and Patrick McHale (Over the Garden Wall) all started their careers by working on The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack before they went on to create their own series. They already had a solid idea of how the industry worked. And they were all college graduates.

To be nice for a second, you guys are too young and inexperienced to pitch a cartoon. You need SOME kind of experience, even if it is just making webtoons or getting the gist of writing. Trying to throw this idea and expecting it to stick is going to end in heartbreak and pain for your entire team.

Dude, this is like the third time you said you're leaving. Stay or go. But just because what we're saying isn't the sappy mush you see on dA doesn't mean it's not useful. Sorry if the truth hurts.

Probably not relevant anymore given the sudden turn of events in here, but...

If you have ideas on how to improve the show please toss them by me. The me and the team are always trying to find more ways to improve the show daily. Unfortunately most of them can't be added to the pilot since it's already well into production.

Thats just an idea for now. Like I said, most of this will be revised and improved while the pilot is being worked on. Which again, has all the essentials already made for it. It's a simple story to introduce the characters and the concept.

Yes, most of that crap will be "revised and improved upon" while the pilot is being worked on.

Because, y'know, the story bible being completely out of sync with the pilot is going to impress...oh, that's right, absolutely nobody.

Honestly, if you want to learn animation, you should not be trying to immediately jump into making a full indie cartoon series proposal. The guy who did Double Rainboom? It's pretty much MLP/PPG crossover fanfiction and he had to work his ass off even with an animation college's resources at his disposal in order to get it done after multiple delays. And this is considering he already had several animated shorts under his belt that weren't even a minute long but as practice shorts to hone his craft they were rather admirable in quality.

You want to learn how to do animation? Go get Steam Filmmaker and follow the sample tutorials. Just those alone will do more for teaching you how to effectively create visually aided storytelling than working off of scri-sorry, I mean, IDEAS, with no concept of what you're even doing.

This whole conversation I've been blatantly saying that we are still improving on everything. If you hate the cartoon I'm okay with that, but calling it shit and a failure without giving alternative routs to take is not helpful.
Wait, what?

You said you can't change anything about the pilot - evidently the only thing of focus for you guys right now - but you're "improving" things that won't be reflected in the pilot for some reason anyway?

@Aobozu Pitching it to a network will receive way more benefits than making it a web series and hoping it gets popular enough to pay off all the time it took to make it. As well as speed up production time. So it doesn't take 6 months to make a single episode at a time.[/quote]
Because Rooster Teeth's Red vs. Blue totally needed a television network to become huge.

@100 Whole Bepis - And this one focuses more so on helping the kids learn about responsibilities by being in the work force, opening up much more story potential. Having reasons behind your cartoon doesn't always guarantee it being a good idea.

As opposed to what, just throwing together absolute nonsense and trying to pass it off as a coherently plotted episode of a cartoon?

Hell, Axe Cop is pretty damn random because the chief writer is literally under the age of ten who just happened to have a professional comic book artist as an awesome older brother. Every single character is basically totally fucking insane, but even the original, nonsensical "stories" formed the foundations of concrete rules that must be followed such as the transformative properties of blood and how human unicorn magic has an auto-anti-evil-use functionality.

So when even a child who is now extremely famous because he made up a cop who runs around beheading bad guys with an axe understands the concept of everything needing to happen by pre-established rules of a given universe, you don't have much of an argument here.

And don't worry, I'm not deleting any of my history. I've changed a lot from when I used any of those sites, so just seeing them only makes me feel nostalgic. I acknowledge my past on the internet, and will fully admit to everything I've done there. Over the course of my years on the internet I've changed into the person I am today. I'm not perfect, and neither is any other living soul.
Famous last words...

*So many posts coming in and so much drama. I'll take my leave for tonight, I'm losing time to work.
Wait...shit, this is the Brianna Wu thread isn't it?

Pieguy is similar to Jonathan. The only difference is that he has been doing the same thing for longer (7, years). He doesn't yell at cartoons as much, but he still takes them very seriously. He obsesses over Spongebob and Adventure Time, more so with Spongebob. He has dedicated hours to attempting to review every single episode of Spongebob.

He's still spergish, but he's a little better.
