Doubt it, Discovery Family is the channel the pony show is on.

Wait, so both the kids and the adults treat each other on a first name basis?
What about mom and dad? Or son and daughter since the roles are reversed?
It makes the family look like more of a dysfunctional shithole than it already is.

Okay, I've also removed any Mr. Enter videos that were in my Favorites (they were all from his Admirable Animation series, so that should tell you something) and unliked them. Didn't take too long. But should I also delete all comments I've left? They weren't spergy, but I want to wash my hands of this lolcow.

Sure.

Are you Oopadoopabooga from dA? Just wondering.

Wow, this thread got aggressive really quickly. Since no ones offering anything new to help, this thread isn't helpful anymore. To those who offered useful information to the table, I thank you and I will use it to improve the cartoon.

Just remember, we already are set on learning how to make the cartoon through the pilot. And sorry if you think it's not an efficient way to make a cartoon, but it's working for the us. Everybody working on GA is learning new and useful things that will help them out in the long run. Hell, I've learned more working on this project about art than I did from a high school teacher.

If anyone has any useful tips on how to improve the cartoon toss me a note on my DeviantArt, it's the only website I really use.

Alright, I hate to do this, but I got a soft side so I'll give you some real advice and I hope you take it to heart but understand it probably won't be what you want to hear.

I believe I've said this to literally every artist who has gotten a thread here but always, first and foremost, understand the basics of what you are doing. Judging from your art and your attitude you don't have much experience.

I would personally take a step back and look at what you are doing. You are trying to go headfirst into a project with little knowledge of the work you are doing. Like other people I also have a pet project I hold close to my heart but I know if I were to pursue it instead of honing my skills it would end tragically.

I don't know if you're experimenting with this or you actually want to follow Enter into this wild goose chase but I don't see anything good coming out of this. If you do want to get into a proper animation/design job I would drop this whole thing and get enrolled into school. As I said in a previous post, what school you graduate from in often your biggest assent into getting into the business. High school doesn't teach you shit. At college you'll learn the actual process of film, design, storyboarding and animation along with character design and proper digital media use. I guarantee you, you'll learn more from proper education than trial and error on some dude's poorly written idea.

You need to work on understanding the human form better and developing a style that sets you apart from others. What you currently have is run of the mill and what I call "15 year old who discovered photoshop". Shading needs work, backgrounds need work and don't get me started on your shaky lines.

You simply haven't scratched the surface of developing an animated short let alone a full fledged cartoon. It's ok to accept you have much to learn, then you know to improve. Hell, I'm still learning. Everyone is.

You have a passion but know that you're going down a bad path. You'll grow an ego like Enter that way if you don't.

"Yes, I noted this. What we have now is nowhere near to something we could pitch to anybody. Like I keep saying, this concept is being worked on and expanded while we figure out all the essentials to make an episode. Even if this cartoon was fantastic, I know and already told MrEnter that companies would probably turn us down for not having any experience at all in the work field. Why not try anyways? If it fails, we learn through our mistake and fix our problems.

But everyone is basically saying that we should scrap the entire project instead of improving upon it. Which in turn will have "Not just me and Enter, but the entire team's efforts amount to nothing." That won't get anyone anywhere."

1. Make a FUCKING pitch bible and work on the lore and characters.

2. Why make it if no one would want to air it?

3. Ego.

4. Learn from your mistakes NOW.

5. Are you missing the fucking point?

Scraping what we have would probably send me into a long depression.

You fucking wiener.

You're going to have to scrap it if it fails to stick with CN. You're going to have to scrap it if it gets panned and garners no support. So why the fuck would you turn out such a mediocre product? Why would you put so much effort into something that you have to KNOW isn't ready?

We're not being hostile or trying to stomp on your dreams. We're telling you to slow the fuck down and think about what you're doing. Because in its current form Growing Around is destined to fail.

Well, he's obviously only hearing from us what he wants to hear.

This shit's even worse than I thought. They literally have no idea what they're doing, and they KNOW it.
They think that if they keep at it, all the secrets of animation will magically open themselves to them through trial and error.

Fuck that whiner. He's so lucky I can't post shit on En-Tard's page, since En-Tard blocked me. Otherwise... Nah, fuck it. I don't feel like stooping to that level like I did in the first place, again.
I know right? If you ask me I wouldn't even try to reason with the guy. He's almost like a caveman- criticisms just go right over his head.

At this point I'm pretty sure he's trying to come up with ridiculous excuses to avoid criticism and helpful advice about his show.

I'm ThatJarofJam over there. I'm not gonna even talk to him. Such a dumbshit.

Now if Enter makes an account here...that would be interesting. ;)
Oh I know you from that 03bgood video on Youtube!

And yeah... no matter what criticism you'll give him, he'll always be the same. Stubborn as a rock. Sooner or later he'll be back to this thread whining and having every single point miss over his head, only listening to ass-kissing for the series while further straining the reputation of his name. What a poor soul.

Apparently Chuggaaconroy, somebody I actually like, follows Mr. Enter on Twitter. Uh, to each their own I guess. But I think Chugga's wasting his time, and if he actually likes Growing Around (which is the biggest bone I have to pick with Mr. Enter) then I'd seriously have to question his tastes in things that aren't video games. Then again, Enter does have like 70,000 subscribers. They can't all be lolcows, right? I guess Chugga's in the "casual fan" group, given what I know about him. Chugga very well could have been a lolcow if his Starmen.net posts are of any indication, but he grew up.
